it is always an odd thing, when a plague dragon turns to the spade.

oh, how the plants wither under flyssa's touch. that first potted plant handed to her by some careless merchant quailed near instantly. and while that deters most, makes them shuck aside that meagre interest, it only made flyssa more determined. her mother wasn't supposed to be alive at all. surely she could find a workaround.

no hands to wear gloves - banescale are built for fiery wars, teeth and talons, not the gentleness of hands. she could not handle the plants with her mouth, for her plaguebreath turned them to mush. her options were limited. her options leaned on the shoulders of others.

the boneyard is unforgiving, but now fallow if you had the knowledge. and oh, did flyssa have the knowledge, even if she could not put it to the use. she would divulge all she knew if she could only have a cut of the grain she helped you grow. and she would oversee it all, perhaps a bit too much, picking apart and learning all she could, from the time of year best planted to the elevation to the soil.
