Biography

- father was a coal miner, come up from the icelands to escape being roped into the icewarden's navy
- had vega on a trip to plague to meet his mate, though she did not come back with him to his mine

- it was not a great life, certainly not a safe one, but it was enough

- vega's father was a decent mage, and liked to enchant simple machines to help with work
- and he accidentally enchanted one a bit too hard and got a fully sentient dragon out of it
