Althalos is only seen during the early months of the year as the season transitions from winter to spring, as she protects and takes care of the budding flowers that are trying to resist any lingering frost on the ground. With a sweep of her wings, she'll guide the frozen crystals back to the ring of snowflakes that surround her and spread her petals to revitalize the hurting flora. Once the land has fully settled into spring, she'll vanish once more from dragonkind to hibernate until next year, where she'll repeat the cycle yet again.

To the locals, Althalos has been around since the beginning of paradise, as they believe her conception to be from the land's first winter. As snow blanketed the land, their god grew heartbroken to see all her flora be crushed and buried under the harsh landscape. Her tears were said to glow iridescent, and as they fell, they had conjured into a dragon of a similar sheen, giving life to Althalos. She had promised her creator that she would bury herself amongst the snow, safeguarding the flowers, and when the sun grew harsh enough that it would melt, she would reemerge with her flora in tow. Keeping her promise to her creator, Althalos sleeps deep beneath the ground to collect enough energy to keep the flowers protected during even the harshest of winters. Two festivals are held in Althalos' honor; one to celebrate the arrival of Spring, and another to prepare for the coming of winter, both act as a way for the locals to revitalize Althalos for her duties and to show their appreciation for her. |

| Since the skydancer helps ensure the health and bounty of early spring crops, the villagers had only deemed it fair that they gave some of that back to ensure another season of quality produce. Some locals will leave out baskets of fruit and flora they had grown inside their homes as an offering to Althalos while she travels the land to help spring's transition, as she may use the offerings to give more life to the plants. With their help, she is capable of ensuring that paradise may last eternal, regardless of the weather or season. |
