_ _ LAELE the blade is versatile sword-dancer | xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
___________________ |
Laele is the second-born of Amasandra, diplomat of Waterdeep, and Kami, an Ineffable creature part angel and part demon. She and her brother Imlyn have both inherited a volatile range of skills and qualities from this heritage, and Laele has channeled hers into a practice from her mother's people: blade-dancing. A graceful individual with a talent and a taste for unexpected magic, Laele is equally quick on her feet and quick with her tongue. She dedicates much of her time to perfecting her skill with a thin silver blade, which she wields as easily as if it were her own claw or tail. She seems intrigued by her brother's dreams of a school nearby, and has already said that she would teach alongside him and the reclusive but sweet Dawnweave. Few understand Laele's bond with her mate Memphis, a scowling dark cloud of a dragon who tends to hold his nose in the air and keep apart from others. But Memphis seems genuinely attached to his mate and their single hatchling, and he will always meet her smile, even if no one else's. | __________________ |

Quote:
It is customary for young Avariels to consult with diviners near the time of their birth, or before important turning points in their lives. The old practice is slowly taking root in Sornieth. The diviner rattles their satchel, shuffling the runes within before spilling them across the table. They read only those that are face up.
Laele was born in the harmony of blessings as a Bladesinger. Those born in such circumstances are known for their inherent grace above all else. The largest rune revealed is the Fate Rune. This implies Laele has inherited their penchant for unexpected branches of magic. The Bladesingers represent the perfect harmony between blessings, able to dance freely under Elistraee's moonlight and face Suzaku's blazing sun head-on. Laele excels at bending light and poison craft. Her level of expertise is usually only seen in those blessed by the Moon and Phoenix Goddesses.
Bending light leads to the mastery of illusions, crafting the different hues and lengths of which light can glow to make it dance for her. Illusions may be as simple as a bird in one's periphery, and as complex as a meteor storm across the night sky. The best of the best can even render themselves invisible for hours at a time. Meanwhile, an expertise in poisons is all but guaranteed, but the truth is their skill expands to all realms of potion making and many sects of alchemy as well. It is a finicky science and an even more temperamental art, but the best potion makers can miracles happen.
Two smaller runes deign to explain her future.
In the realm of artistry, Laele will have the most consistency. Artistry refers to Laele's ability to express herself through media beyond her person, including but not limited to music, visual design, and written word. Her relationship with her muse, be it temperamental and stubborn or welcoming and indulgent will remain steady throughout her years. What’s good will remain, and what’s cursed will persist. Fate will push hardest against attempts to change this aspect of her life.
In contrast, the most volatile aspect in her life will be her health. Health refers to her physical, mental and all-around well-being. She is advised to hold tightly to the best parts of this aspect, because it is only a matter of time before they disperse.
To complete the reading, one close to Laele selects the final rune. Amasandra, her mother, finds the rune for happiness, bestowing the most sincere blessing in the eye of fate.
