While able to create decently sized portals, they aren't exactly able to control where they lead unless they have a vivid memory of that place or it is within eyesight. Trying to create portals from memory obviously isn't the best idea, and it often leads to an entirely different place or nowhere at all. Though, dragons with a photographic memory can utilize the portals very, very well. Dragons hatched with a Prismheart do seem to have a higher chance of having a photographic memory. Creating a portal with sight generally works well unless they have an eye condition, or are blurry from lack of sleep. Portals are decently sized but certainly not large enough to fit a whole Imperial. Smaller dragons could certainly fit through some of them, though. Must make it back through unless you want to stay at the chosen location. The portal will close without much warning. After closing, the sparkling powder that remains can be collected and used for various things.
