Biography

Anahita

The Naiad of the Gladeveins

Anahita was born in a mighty lair overlooking the Gladeveins, to Azure the Shadow Coatl, and Blue the Plague Coatl. Her home clan was called Cicuta, which is a species of highly poisonous plants in the family Apiacaea, also known as "water hemlock".

Fun fact: Cicuta are perennials that can grow up to 2.5 m tall, and they have green or white flowers arranged in an umbrella shape that give off a distinctive odour. The roots of this plant are deadly if ingested - in fact, all parts of the plant are toxic, though it has been known to be used to treat a few medical conditions.

The main take-away is that although Anahita appears lovely and harmless - and indeed she is for those who respect her - she does not take kindly to any who would try to take advantage of her.

She is a spirit of cool, healing waters, crystal clear and pure. She cares deeply for the environment, and works tirelessly to keep waterways free of trash and effluent, so that the life-giving waters may flow freely.

Anahita left the Gladeveins to clean up other waterways, travelling through regions such as Shadow, Water, Wind, and finally landing on the Starwood Strand. She was mistaken for a Water dragon (understandably), and directed to Riptide's clan, where she was welcomed kindly.
