(07/22/2019): Rules updated!
Before I get into what this thread is for, I'd like to first point out what it is not:
- This is not a sales thread.
- This is not a hatchery: no pairing lists or ping lists.
- This is not for raffles or giveaways.
- This is not a fodder dumping area.
Explanation:
Sometimes we got a little crazy with impulse buys. Sometimes there's a hatchling that we bred and really like, but can't keep because of lair space or we have to hatch that next nest. Then we end up reluctantly exalting dragons we care a lot about for these reasons. One thing that we all have in common here on Dragon Share is that we like to look at and appreciate our dragons and the dragons of others. Sadly, we can't keep every dragon that we like.
So, I had an idea. What if there was a "last stop" for these dergs? A last resort before exalting? Somewhere where anyone can post and anyone can take the dragon?
This isn't like an adoption thread where someone has to organize all of the dragons up for grabs with ping lists and everything. It's more of a self policing rescue service. Think of it as a glorified version of those "Dragons That Just Won't Sell" threads.
Rules:
- It would be appreciated if those receiving dragons did not take someone's dragon with the intent of immediately exalting it for dominance, that negates the whole point of this thread. The original owner could exalt it themselves, the point is they are hoping to avoid their dragon being exalted.
- Remember: This is not a sales thread! The point is that you really want your dragon to find a happy home after exhausting all other options, not to make treasure/gems.
- Please do not take on someone's dragon if you don't intend on keeping it in your lair (or perhaps gifting it to a friend). This rule is to hopefully avoid dragons being passed on to other adoption/giveaway threads, where the dragon could end up as exalt fodder, which is what this thread is here to avoid and why the original owner posted here in the first place.
Updated rule:
- Do not spam reposts for your dragons. While I understand that many of us are eager to find new forever homes for our dragons, there are quite a few people who are subscribed to the thread and constant reposts can be very cumbersome. In order for the thread to continue to go smoothly and spare the notifications of subscribers, please wait 48 hours (two days) before quoting / reposting the dragons who have yet to find a home.
These rules are here in good faith. Anyone who posts here must remember that once they send off their dragon, the receiving player can and will do whatever they please with it.
I'm sure there's more possibilities for "rules" that I haven't thought of, so I'm more than happy to listen to any and all suggestions for the thread.
If you notice that someone has made a mistake resulting in a rule being broken, please be kind if you choose to reply to them about it or feel free to message me instead. Many people have been very helpful at keeping the thread running smoothly and I am so grateful for our little community here!
How to share Exalt Row dragons:
If you'd like, copy and paste this code and add the necessary information:
If someone rescues your dragon from being exalted, please edit your original post and add that the dragon found a home.
If no one takes the dragon and you exalt it, please edit your original post and add that the dragon was exalted.
