Isolde

The North Wind rolls through nearly every year. With it comes hardships, of course: remaining late crops wither and die, travel further than the borders of the Strand becomes nigh-impossible due to deep, arcane snow (even for the most skilled courier, the post is usually a little late), and even the fluffiest Coatl finds the chill cuts through to the bones.

But Isolde is nice, really. She leaves presents outside each den, once a year in deepest midwinter, one to each dragon, an apology of sorts for the inconvenience. She draws intricate patterns, like paisley and glimmering flowers, into the sheets of ice that form on almost every surface of Haven. She never sticks around for long, but seeing the smiles on the hatchlings faces as the clumsily trace the swirls with ther claws never fails to make her smile on particularly bitter mornings.

mate: Cupid - he always makes her laugh, and helps her makes the presents she delivers. They also cheer her up, when she is feeling down about the more negative consequences of The North Wind, reminding her that being the conduit of winter itself really isn't awful all the time.
