  • One of a (concerningly) growing number of Riftkind who were sent on reconnaissance missions to Sornieth and left stranded. Hyperon was captured by NC, but escaped while being transferred to the Vigilance Holding Facility. His mission is unknown.
  • Currently trying to survive in hiding in an abandoned steel factory construction site in Goldensparc and has no intention of allowing themselves to be taken prisoner, even if the alternative may be death at the hands of less sympathetic dragons.
  • NC efforts to capture and subdue him have so far been unsuccessful. He's armed with some kind of energy weapon, and extremely dangerous when provoked. Ochrana was seriously injured after confronting him. On the few occasions their operatives have actually been able to talk to Hyperon, he remained uncooperative.
  • Abilities of Riftkind in general are still not fully understood. Hyperon seems to have some sort of shapeshifting abilities; their body is not exactly solid, or perhaps not exactly corporeal? Nobody has gotten close enough to find out.

  • Although so far any violence has been purely in self-defense and there's no evidence of Hyperon killing or injuring without provocation, concerns over the Riftkind turning violent (or possibly already posing a significant danger to the citizens of Goldensparc) have led to serious debate over whether the Riftkind should simply be tracked down and killed rather than taken alive. Skyline staunchly opposes this, and insists that if he were allowed to speak with Hyperon, he could reason with them. For the moment, the Council deems this too risky.
  • Atentat was assigned the task of tracking Hyperon down, preferably alive but dead if necessary. The two of them have been playing a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in Goldensparc for weeks, communicating on occasion through scrawled graffiti and letters on old newspapers left where the other will find them. Now that he's seen that the enemy on the other side of the Rift has a human face (so to speak), Hyperon doesn't really want to kill Atentat, and he's starting to suspect Atentat doesn't want him dead either.
