Vertical1.png Her whiskers droop with age, and there is a failing in her sight that necessitates strong glasses, but there is no one anyone would sooner trust to manage and oversee institute affairs than Beatrice. Years of expertise battling the paranormal, the esoteric, and the malevolent in the practice and theoretical readied her for the position, and her kind, though no-nonsense attitude, makes dragons instinctively look up to her.

There are many holes in her long life, ones she does not try to explain, leading to speculation that she was once a bit more 'hands on' in her research than she will let on, but this has done little to dissuade others from agreeing with her taking up the post. In fact, they are more than willing to accept someone with experience, rather than appoint someone who hasn't dirtied their claws once or twice.

Beatrice, or 'Bea', makes sure the Institute runs smoothly under scant direction of Basil, founder and head researcher. Though many do not agree with all of her decisions, most have the sense to know that without her the place would quickly fall into disrepair.
