Abbadon had stayed behind with the eggs this time. Under the cold light of the last moon of the year, he sat and watched. His hulking wolf form watching the eggs with interest. 4 was such and big number compared to the last few nests. Despite the flight of fire being... well fire, it was chilly. The magma cooled over from the few frosts that had begun. they're so little, and fragile he thought to himself as he slowly laid down, it was going to be a long long night.

Almost as soon as he laid down, however, a strange chirping began to emanate from the eggs. His ears bolted upright, his eyes opening alert. He tilted his head at the eggs, the first nest hadn't done this... had they? He quickly scrambled to grab the cards that linnaea had given him, how was he supposed to do this again. "right" he mumbled, grabbing out 4. He then waited, holding the 4 cards facedown until a small grey head poked out of the first egg with bright orange eyes. It wasn't a pearlcatcher or a imperial tho, (Thank heavens it wasn't the latter). It was instead a small snout, almot like a bat, with huge massive curious eyes, chirping at him. He scooted forward, closer to the eggs and held out the cards, "Pick one" he suggested to the newly born hatchling. It quickly grabbed the one from the middle and held it up triumphantly, causing abbadon to laugh. "Well? What is it" he asked looking above the egg down.
Seven of Wands was written in Linnaea's lovely cursive handwriting, as she had made this deck herself. As the tiny nocturn flipped itself out of the egg, Abbadon took the card and looked at it's wings, it's almost like Lorcan he thought to himself But with red eyes and blue peacock, he almost didn't see the next egg hatch. A pair of big old red eyes stared at him from the shadows, oddly silent compared to the one who was still chirping its head off. He held out the other 3 cards, as the child picked the one on the end Ace of Cups, much like their mother who had the Two Of Cups. The third egg seemingly exploded by itself 5 minutes later, as Abbadon tucked the other two hatchlings in his mane of fur on his back he held out the two remaining cards, the hatchling excitedly grabbed the one on the left, chirping much like the first one.Ten of Cups, Maybe Cups runs in the family he thought to himself as he watched the last egg. It hadn't made any sound at all, almost as if....no he wouldn't let himself think that. Linnaea would be heartbroken if it was. He tapped it gently, the third hatchling also taking the opportunity to tap it and chirp at it. He quickly looked at the last card in his massive paws, Knight of Swords, except this time it was reversed. He tapped on the egg one more time and jumped backward, a growl in his throat as it suddenly just, fell apart. Almost like someone had glued together an already broken egg. But there was no hatchling inside, it was empty.
