what charmeuse's parents had left to make them, was made for war first.

neither of their parents had flesh and blood to their name, and their children were no different. charmeuse was crafted from worn, soft leather armour, lockpicks for fingerbones - any scrap of twine or rope they could find for stitching. they were a labour of love and they would not soon forget it.

this congregation in which charmeuse was born was devoted to their plaguebringer, and lived sparsely. in fairness, her creed preaches life among all else, even if no one else wants you alive. live as though it is you against the world and that is what charmeuse did.

they began to steal.

just food to begin with, though they did not need to eat. and they were admonished for it, because what did that mean, other than they did not believe their clanmates could provide for themselves.

no matter. they turned on their heel and faced the boneyard instead.

their footfalls are padded by the leather of their feet. no chest was safe from their lockpick fingers, their nerves magically linked to them. and they would steal, and they would find someone who needed whatever they took, and then once again they would be faced with the boneyard.

charmeuse was made for war, yes. but they lived for love.
