- two souls sharing the same body
- a pair of rivals that fell to eachother's blades near the heart of the shadowlands, where the shadowbinder is still getting a handle on her war magic
- and therefore their magic shook together and into the nearest habitable receptacle
- which was the shade doll a local shade witch abandoned a very long time ago
- it really was a series of events
- moth-eaten, threadbare and weak jointed, but they don't feel pain so it's fine
- started out really bad. like they tore each other apart and were constantly panicking and trying to kill each other
- they basically did a speedrun of enemies to lovers
- nothing settles your differences like literally having to upkeep your new cloth body so you can move
- and as they get older their magic will merge further and they will be indistinguishable from one another
