Biography
Fall is coming to an end, and nestled within a warm den 2 new stories have just begun. This Fae was born into royalty, twice, so to speak. Her father is Rhys, son of Count Tristan of the Autumn Court. Her mother is Zylit, daughter of the chief of a druid clan. Perhaps this young ones steps will wander to the court of her fathers origin, or maybe she will walk the path of the druid alongside her mother, but who knows? Perhaps the winds will carry her to some far part of Sornieth where she will forge her own legend...
It was on a warm autumn morning that a courier dragon gave Aspen a mysterious envelope. Curious why anyone would send her mail, she quickly openend and read it.
Aspen was caught off-guard by the invitation. She was still struggling to decide what to do with her life, where to settle down and what to make her calling... And now she was getting an invitation to a family reunion, of a family she didn't even know she was a part of! She knew she carried quite the legacy, with her parents being who they were... but to think their bloodline goes this far back? It was all a bit much, but... maybe one of these mysterious relatives would be able to help her?
Aspen wandered aimlessly around the area, unsure of where to go. That was until suddenly, she spotted familiar, brightly-colored wings.
"Bellus, it's nice to see you. Are you part of this family too?"
Bellus was a merchant who traveled across the Sea of Thousand Currents, to sell items and transport dragons. Aspen often spotted her around Singer's Brook, where she'd take breaks to rest and recharge. When the rainbow Fae noticed Aspen, her frills perked up to greet her.
"It's good to see you too! I'm sorry, but I'm not related to anyone here... as far as I'm aware, at least. I just thought that at a gathering this big, I'd surely find some customers. But to think you're part of this family? I wouldn't have guessed."
"Me neither, to be honest. I didn't know until the invitation arrived."
"So you don't know anyone here?"
"No. Not really. I'm not even sure why I came. It sounded interesting, and I thought that maybe this would help me discover more about myself... but I don't know what to do here."
Bellus thought for a moment. "Well, they said that there are treasures hidden in the water. Don't you want to search for those? I'd love to explore that sunken ship, personally. We could do that together."
Aspen felt a bit relieved that someone was inviting her to do stuff together. It would be a bit less overwhelming with another dragon by her side.
"Yes, thank you, I'd love to join!"
Aspen informed herself on the various activities offered today. When she heard of the play area for the hatchlings, she visibly froze as something dawned on her.
"I forgot to take my children to the family reunion!"
Bellus stared at her in disbelief. "You... forgot your children?"
"W-well. The invitation was only for me. But I just realized... if I'm related to these dragons, then they're related too!"
Bellus shook her head. "Wow... just, wow."
"I can't believe I forgot the kids..." Aspen muttered.
"Okay, this isn't too bad. The Sunbeam Grotto isn't far away from Singer's Brook, so you could go back and fetch your children without missing out on too much. I could offer to do it for you as well, but... this is the first time I hear about you having children. I wouldn't recognize them. Congratulations, by the way. Is there a partner you want to bring along as well?"
"Maybe. If he wants to join."
Aspen readied herself to leave the reunion and pick up her family. How could she forget something like this?

She decides to hang back from the crowds at first, choosing instead to walk along the shoreline. The tidepools immediately catch her eye - only a few dragons are milling about the wide stretch of rocky land, a far cry from the crushing crowds present on the beach. As she steps closer, a flash of color draws her attention...a vivid fish is circling the shallow pool. As Aspen watches, it swims faster and faster and finally jumps out of the water, arcing over the rock and landing with a splash in the ocean, where it disappears. A sign for what lies ahead, perhaps?

Aspen and Bellus follow Laguna as she leads a small group of the more adventurous dragons through the kelp forest and down, down, deep where there is barely any light. Fortunately, the pair was given a Delver's Lamp to share; they decide to poke around the jagged tear in the ship's hull, curious to peek inside. Much of the deck and the sand below the wreck has been colonized by barnacles and little sea critters, but they can see a pile of gold coins inside.
"I can't reach!" Bellus says.
Aspen steels herself and shimmies through the gap, retrieving the coins and passing them through the hull into Bellus' grasp. Success!
