Max 'Crow' Sawyer

Son of Melanie Sawyer and Avery 'Nightshade' Adler.

Was a very quiet and thoughtful child. Had a voracious appetite for knowledge in all its forms. As an adult he is quite charismatic but also decidedly 'off'; he has a trouble fully hiding how absolutely bonkers he really is.

Inherited his father's aptitude for blood magic. Has no scrupels on what he has to do to strength this ability. Has experimented on himself extensively, so is completely covered in scars both thick and thin. These heal quicker than they would on others due to his Sawyer blood, but they are rapidly replaced by new ones.

Betrayed his parents when Malachai returned to Haven, siding with him over them. He genuinely cares for Haven and its people. Secretly doubts if betraying his parents was the correct move- at the very least, misses Melanie terribly. Will not admit it.

Driven by a desire to be important on a worldly scale. The way this currently manifests is that he is helping coach Malachai to be a better leader, and hoping that the prophecy that a chosen Sawyer will become a god-witch is going to come true through Malachai.

Has a rivalry with Dandelion as they vy for Malachai's attention. He claims not to care as he recognises and respect Dandelion and her position but in reality they're as petty as each other.
