QUICK FACTS

STORY OF BEGININGS

Braun was found as an egg in the Coliseum underneath an unusually small Borer that was seemingly trying to keep it warm with the weak fire that burns in the heart of the borers chest. Nymphry, Fenris, and Lick grabbed the egg from the sleeping Borer and planned to take it home so it could get the heat needed to hatch. However, halfway home, they noticed the small borer was chasing after them. They realized that the borer did not want to lose his little friend, but they also knew the Coliseum was no place to raise a little hatchling. The only solution was to take the borer home too.

When they placed the small egg in the nursery, the borer resumed curling up around the egg. Cossin said it was impossible the separate the two but the little robot didn't have the heat to hatch the egg on it's own.

Since the borer would not let someone else hatch the egg, Salamandra stepped in the help. As a coatl dragon, heat is second nature to her and so she could give the weak flame in the borers chest the extra boost it needed. She slept beside the borer and the egg night and day, breathing fire into the borer whenever his flame began to flicker. Cossin, still a young dragon himself, tended to Slamandra and the egg as she worked to hatch it. Soon, Braun emerged, and he has never been seen without his borer, Beeps, since. Salamandra became something of a mother to him, and Cossin something of a brother.

WHO ARE THEY

Above all, Braun is a tinkerer. Which is good because most of the dragons in the Howitzer clan do not understand the first thing about mechanics, technology, or engineering. Braun seems to have been born with all the teaching of engineering in his head. Or perhaps his loyal friend Beeps has taught him. After all, noone else knows what the Beeps beeps and boops mean.

Braun spends much of his time in the tinkerers family workshop with Chaac. Chaac never quite took on a father role, but as Salamandra's mate, and the only other dragon in the clan with a profinity for knick knocks and ding dongs, the two are still extremely close. When he is not doing that, he is eagerly showing if his latest thing-ama-bob or thingy-jiggy. He can often be found running around with Beeps and Cossin, proudly presenting a charred tail or burnt-off chin hairs.
