B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Theme of the dragon, once I find one.

______ Once fiery and bold, now tempered and wise with age, Vesta’s relationship with Fire has grown and matured over her many years. She was raised in the shifting landscape of the Blacksand Annex, to one of many clans looking to brave the hostile environs in order to prove themselves worthy of the Flamecaller’s favour. The clan’s foothold was weak, however, constantly being pushed around and into the most dangerous territories within the Annex by stronger enclaves, where little more than rumours survived the unexplained atrocities that lurked within the ever-present smog. To live in this environment was to confront things most in Fire wanted to forget. Against the odds her clan did survive for many years, something only possible by the strength of the magic they possessed and the arts they honed in the hostile conditions, but time was against them; as ley energies within Sornieth started to surge and grow stronger over time, more horrors began to awaken within the bowels of the Annex, and eventually they were wiped out.

______Among the few survivors of her clan, Vesta managed to flee the Annex by the luck of fate alone, now residing within the Sanctuary of Solace alongside her pair-bond Vulcan. Her experience with Fire magic, coupled by her immense capabilities with the element, have made her well-suited to the task of monitoring and managing the latent Fire within the citadel’s leylines, though she also spends much time tending to the inferno that powers the clan’s great forge, one of the heartbeats of Solace. During the Flameforger’s Festival, Vulcan and Vesta oversee the celebrations within the citadel, calling all dragons to celebrate the life-giving heat of the hearth and pay due respect and reverence to its capacity for destruction.

______After I bought Vulcan, I wanted to find a mate for him that would pair nicely with his genes. I picked Vesta because her design fit well as a Fire rep, as well as pairing nicely with Vulcan, and named her after the Roman goddess of the hearth, their equivalent of the Greek Goddess Hestia, for the sake of theme - even though Vulcan and Vesta in mythology weren't really connected with one another.
