B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Theme of the dragon, once I find one.

______ Though Sornieth’s molten blood flows in abundance upon the surface of the Ashfall Wastes, revealing a landscape rich in the earth’s treasures, the most devoted clans - and perhaps the most reckless - know the greatest bounty lies deeper. Vulcan was born to one clan, having settled within a deep cavern in the bowels of the Great Furnace and eking out a dangerous yet prosperous living within its walls. Among the immense heat and constant fumes and vapours of the planet’s living heart, survival is impossible without outstanding innovation and the technical skill to create and maintain vital infrastructure, setting the clans that persisted in this environment in a league of their own in their craftsmanship and force of will. The reward for their labours was high, providing access to some of the most prized riches the earth has to offer and opening limitless possibilities for trade and craftsmanship with these rare and precious materials. Vulcan, manifesting considerable talent as a smith and a wielder of Fire magic during his youth, prospered in the harsh conditions, his character and skills hammered into a fine tool by the heat as if by the fiery claw of the Flamecaller herself.

______Now residing within Solace’s citadel, Vulcan has left behind the colossal furnace of his birthclan for the Sanctuary, performing a role only true masters of Fire could perform alongside his pair-bond, Vesta. Together they guide and safeguard the energy of their element within the Clan’s leylines, both nurturing it and maintaining its balance among the other elements of Sornieth. The power of Fire from within the leylines is immense, powering a grand forge within the citadel that calls to mind the great metalworks of his youth.

______I named Vulcan after the Roman equivalent of Hephaestus, the Greek god of the forge, which isn't particularly creative but fits too well for me to feel concerned. I bought him because I was on the hunt for some Coatls, not having many at the time, and I fell in love with the contrast of Storm Opal with his Fire eyes - it makes me think of blue flames, though I suppose I haven't really dressed him to suit
