Biography
Build: Ghostbuster
Coral was once a daring princess, daughter of a matriarch descended from a long line of noble-blooded dragons. She was raised in a palace, tucked away within the Viridian Labrynth, where it was thought that she would be protected by the bustle of jungle life and the expanse of shifting shadow beneath the canopy. However, stuck there in the palace with hardly anyone to talk to, certainly no one who understood her, Coral found herself growing restless and unsatisfied. She felt her blood humming for the thrill of a kidnapping or the danger of a siege. She longed for battle and travel and music and thrills.
So she left.
In the dead of night she leapt from her high window and escaped beneath the canopy that had once been her refuge. Her size and strength afforded her endurance enough to outlast her guards, and soon she was alone. And hungry. And scared beyond belief.
She loved it.
She donned a cowl and a mask and sold what jewels she had--even at one point selling a gem from her hide to be able to afford a meal-- and set off across Sornieth, leaving everything she had ever known behind. Coral carried a small dagger for protection, and later acquired a sword and some protective armor, and she practiced day in and day out. For a time she was a thief. Later she was a rogue. Further on a mercenary, and eventually a fully-fledged knight. She found herself leading armies, acting the general in a border skirmish and playing at diplomacy--which she found amusing, considering that that was all she had studied as a princess.
But eventually she was wounded. She lost her sight in one eye and earned a scar across her face, and for an instant she mourned the safety of the life she had left behind. However when she looked up, she saw the faces of two imperials--twin boys, Suni and Merrion--who were so enamored with her skill and strength that they pledged loyalty to her no matter where she should go.
"You don't even know who I am--or who I was!" she protested.
The boys shook their heads, and then shrugged. "We don't need to."
They had followed her ever since. Without her sight, Coral struggled for a time, unable to battle--or even to defend herself--because she could no longer see how far away her enemies were. Who was she now, once a princess and then a warrior, without people to rule and without armies to lead? Her companions stood at her side and counseled her, but neither had a true answer.
"You are our queen," they said, "and we will follow you anywhere."
Coral led the boys to the far reaches of Sornieth--across plains and valleys, oceans and rivers, mountains and deserts--until at last they reached the Starfall Isles. They traversed the Starwood Span and sailed between the Crystalspine Reaches, finally landing upon the Focal Point--where they were greeted by dragons. A skydancer with wings like the sun breaking through clouds welcomed her into their home.
And there she stayed.
So she left.
