Piria Wildclaw Artist Mate of Serbane xxxxxxxxxxxxxPlaceholder xxxxxxxxxxxxPlaceholderrr xxxxxxxxxxPlaceholderrrrrrr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
Description
It seems like it is Piria’s mission to always make the tribe sparkle just as much as she does. She creates glittery powders from beetles, ground crystals and when she can obtain it, hematite. Many dragons after a group grooming find themselves dusted in her powders, which she says makes them all so pretty. This earns her glares at her as they brush the glitter off.
Like the other wildclaws that don’t have warrior status, she stays behind in the camp even when those warriors leave to travel across the Plateau, hunting for prey and fighting the beastclans.
She watches the young and teaches them about art, creating abstract, sharp images on the paper with their claws. Sprinkling glitter on the paint before it dries for that extra sparkle.
It is important to teach the young other skills besides fighting, as many of them may not turn out to be warriors.
Story
Piria was always a shy youngling, raised by a large wildclaw clan. She never hoped to have a high status, and only worked on being an artist, to have some talent she could show her family.
She never expected anyone important to care about her, quietly living her life and painting the shadowy landscapes that surrounded her.
The Tangled Wood was such a dark place, giving her only dreary materials to make paint out of. She was gathering up a bunch of black tulips one foggy morning when she saw a dim orange glow in the distance.
She found the source, a campfire of embers. A pack sat nearby and as she crept closer to it the embers swelled into a blaze, nearly singing her tail feathers. She leapt back and fell against something sold.
Her eyes met the orange gaze of Serbane, the lone hunter who made camp in the Wood during the fall. She quickly apologized for bothering him and ran through the fog back to her basket of flowers and right back to her clan’s lair, without hearing him call after her.
The next time Piria was out looking for star moss, to bring back to line the dens with, she saw Serbane walk through the dark forest carrying his pack. She tried to remain concealed under the shadow of a large pine but her pink hide could not be hidden from his hunter’s eyes.
He stopped and opened his pack, pinkish flowers spilling out. He grabbed a clawful and held them out to her, until she tiptoed out of the shadows.
How he knew that she wished for pink flowers, she couldn’t find out. But she made many pink paints out of them and showed him the bright paintings she made with them, when they met again in the forest.
He told her of a land with every color she could imagine, and they crossed the channel over to the Viridian Labyrinth where she filled two baskets full of flowers and spent days with him filling bottles with her new paints before returning to the Wood.
Then they visited Dragonhome, finding crystals that made shimmery pigments. She added them to her paints, giddy with the possibilities she’d never experimented with before. And why hadn’t she?
She was bolder, excitable. None in her clan recognized her anymore, always with claws covered in bright paint and glitter stuck to her hide. She and Serbane packed up her paints one one day, said goodbye to her family and left to find a brighter land.
She had never belonged in the shadows, maybe once when she was too shy to leave them, but it was never truly meant to be.
Serbane’s birth tribe brought them in, lead by a Matriarch named Aermia. Located in the Windswept Plateau of the Windsinger.
