Belenos was a gift to Clan Morganite as a tiny hatchling. Entrusted to Dawnbreaker to raise alongside the naturally talented young adult Coppelia, he was captivated by the older Coatl's fire magic and begged to learn too. Not as innately talented, he served as her apprentice and loyal helper through the time the clan spent in ice territory and could perform basic light magic with ease. Belenos and Coppelia shared a very platonic romance despite frequently laying nests together as both of them had quite a naive disposition. As the two were very absorbed in their jobs, they did not understand the romanticism of relationships or why it was necessary and often acted more like best friends than mates, though this did not bother them in the slightest. He eventually finished his training as an apprentice, after longer time than necessary, but to move on from the clan he was raised in, where his friends was, was a demand. Eventually, as Coppelia informed him she was done with him and she was taking a new apprentice, he was forced to move along - now a fully-fledged destructive Light magic user, he headed out on a journey, though he had one stop off in mind first. The Node was a place located where his magic would be weakest due to the elemental weakness of Light magic against Lightning, and with the clan being allies of the place he had trained himself he judged that the dragons of the Node would welcome him long enough for him to assure himself he could defend himself against his weaknesses. After a short while, he felt himself fit to finally begin searching for his new home. Aside his innocence, Belenos was also - and still is - kind. Wherever he has been, he has been considered one of the friendliest wyrms around, so it is not uncommon for dragons to flock to him or hunt him down simply for a friendly morning chat; although he is clumsy in wit and bad at solving emotional problems, his undying optimism is wonderful to fuel in constant amicable chit-chat about this and that, and life in general. |
