Biography
Kono doesn't remember much of his birth, only flashes of brightness and lightning strikes. Throughout his whole life he's been on a quest to find out just who he is, but the names of two parental dragons that were scribbled on the scroll he had attached to him when delivered at Harvest's feet didn't clear anything up. The Skydancer, at the time an eyebleeding Tundra, raised him as one of her own. His differences became apparent to himself and his non-relative siblings when he ate different food and began to grow horizontally and sleek as they became tall and fluffy.
Kono ponders the names, Belenos and Coppelia. Through the years he has learned he came from Lightning, but finding his history was like finding a needle in a haystack. Countless generations and uncontrollable breeding makes records muddled at best. But one day in his nonstop frenzied study, Kono discovers a name quite similar to his father's in a book.
If not letter for letter. Kono's claws scrabbled on the desk as he shoved himself away, pawing through the jammed drawer with just the tip of his nail, letting out a frustrated hiss. His tongue flickered anxiously as he delicately tugged the wrinkled, soft paper from the back of a stack of tied pencils. Belenos. A lot of the ink in the book was smeared and blotted, but it was his name. A Coatl from the Fire flight, taking sanctuary within a Lightning clan. Bright blue flashes of lightning jolted behind his eyes as the first scant memories flowed back in. The crackling hum in the air, the deep-rooted urge to bellow with the rain. Kono's glowing gaze blinked clearly as he desperately tried to decipher more, but the page was worn beyond repair. Loved, some people called it. More like useless.
