Tahoe is a proud, headstrong, and fierce Obelisk. He and his brother Fathom were the first dragonets hatched in Phthalo's clan. The accomplishment earned their mother, Startynight, a very high rank among the clan elites, and raised her children's rank to, throh the power of nepotism.

Tahoe grew up very privleged, geting the best food, sleeping spots, and hanging around clan elites like Phthalo, Shadowshimmer, and Midnightwater. Tahoe was taught Phthalo's ideology from birth, that loyalty to the clan and the clan leader goes above all else, and that weakness must be purged if you wish to win. He believes this wholeheartedly, and grew up to model his entire existence around strength.

Tahoe and his brother were fathered by Ribbonglimmer, a sly, nasty spiral who disliked his dragonets and cared only about power. In a fit of anger, he attacked his dragonets. Tahoe ran away, but Fathom was badly hurt. Ribbonglimmer was banished from the clan, and his brother Blackice was asigned to be Starynight's new mate. Tahoe strongly dislikes Blackice for being insecure and meek, and looks down on Fathom for being shy and "waiting for the right time" to have dragonets.

As soon as he was old enough, Tahoe joined the guard, and trained under Midnightwater accompanying her on missions to other territories. He proved his tenacity, and came to become Second in Command of the Guard, and is often put in charge of guarding the Coppershrine. Tahoe takes a great degree of pride in his job, always striving to be the best of the best.

When he was a young adult, he was assigned Lynfa as a breeding partner, and they had 4 dragonets together. Tahoe doesn't care much for his mate, and often forgets his children's names.
