Biography
He's a Light dragon but his eyes are Earth and he happened to get Dirt as a tertiary color. It's like he's a Light dragon who wants to be Earth.
Absolutely terrified of Corpse Cleaners and will freeze in a panic on sight.
This is how he came to be.
Ossutek's name
Ohs-yoo-tehk
His name comes from "ossuary," which means "of relating to bones" etymologically. However, an ossuary is a place where bones are kept (such as in an urn, in a room, or even just in a box.) The Greek root word is "osteo" meaning "bone." His name also comes from the Proto-Indo-European root word "teks," meaning "to weave/fabricate" (from which comes the word "technique.") Clearly, Aurion didn't put much heart into the name. It more or less just means "woven bones," referring to the fact that Ossutek was crafted using necromancy. That said, Aurion does at times call Ossutek "Ossu" instead, which is oddly cutesy for someone simply referring to something he crafted.
His name is inscribed in an ancient language on the interior side of his left collar bone. Though it is his true name, he doesn't realize the significance of it, and it actually is what binds his life force, his magic, his body, and his innermost self together. Aurion is only vaguely aware of this inscription and its critical function in keeping Ossu together. There is also the possibility that there is a second, hidden true name even more deeply buried within Ossu which help to safeguard him, even if others realize that "Ossutek" is his true name.
Because Aurion is the one who gave Ossu his true name, he's able to use the name as a single-word incantation. This incantation can do all sorts of things, from controlling Ossu's will to empowering him to enfeebling him to destroying him. However, Aurion presently uses it (unconsciously) as an ever-present ward which protects Ossu from an incredible number of things (especially things magical in nature.) Not the least of these things the ward protects from is the influence of the Black Spiral, which can color his pearl but do nothing else to harm him. While the dark magicks of the Black Spiral are ancient and powerful, so is true name magic, especially when cast by the one who gave the name.

Light dragons are the archivists among the Black Pearls. Their natural magic is diametrically opposed to the darkness within the Spiral, but this allows them to store and organize the information collected by other flights in ways that are often less dangerous to read. These dragons are literally blinded by their own innate magic within the Spiral, but most of the time, they don't need to go further in than the safer outposts anyway. Their tireless effort to collect and store the secrets of the Black Pearls means that an individual dragon becoming lost has less impact on the group as a whole; an absolutely crucial faction for a group that makes a habit of working with such dangerous energies. Each safe-ish outpost has an uncommonly organized and resilient Light dragon heading its library; these are among the most revered of the Black Pearls.

Loving Ossutek’s appearance, he’s got a surprisingly stylish outfit for such a varied amalgamation of apparel pieces used on him. Breezed through his lore too, and I love how he’s terrified of Corpse Cleaners. Throwing the 27th like his way!

we've been a bit out of touch lately, but real life eh? I'm hoping we can catch up soon as life lets us! You're one of the most creative persons I've met and I absolutely love how beautifully you put your imagination into words! Hope everything is well with you, and I'm still praying for our boy to come back home safe and sound with the corpse in tow! =)
