"Look, kid, if you're going to butt in on my work, the least you could do is make yourself useful and hand me my screwdriver."

Far closer to the average Mirror than most in his family, Jansen could almost be considered normal if not for his complete obsession with anything and everything clockwork. He once dug up a busted pocketwatch as a hatchling and has been utterly enamored ever since, even managing to repair that original watch- though he was unable to repair the casing, it works as good as new and is the centerpiece of his workstation.

Aside from his hoard and love of building things, Jansen is more or less just a Mirror. He's a short-tempered loner of few words to most, but amongst other Mirrors- and sometimes Fae- he can be quite the social butterfly. He makes friends with Mirrors easily and has no trouble in securing trading rights with them, though he often forgets to request actually useful items and instead just gets trinkets and clockwork parts for himself. He's surprisingly good at talking to Fae, his crests more mobile than a typical Mirror's due to his own Fae heritage, and uses it to assist in proper body language.

Jansen often grumbles about his poor eyesight, though his is notably better in terms of detail than most Mirrors. He wears a monocle to improve his detail vision on one side, but leaves the other as it is because he thinks he looks rather dashing with a monocle. However, he's been contemplating asking an Arcane member of the Rotmarrow Clan if they have any spells that can improve his detail vision, as while he enjoys hunting like any other Mirror dragon, he vastly prefers fiddling around with his knick-knacks and clocks.
