Vidofnir
explorer | adventurous | curious | stubborn mate: N/A Johnathan's first child and only whose existence he is aware of. Vidofnir spent her early childhood with her mother Aurorae, in the Southern Icefield. There, she explored every cavern, cliff, and cranny, but her curiosity was never sated. She would often question Aurorae, wondering of other realms in Sorneith, and also her own heritage. Aurorae evaded many of these questions, and Vidofnir accepted this as her lot, but when she came of age, Aurorae answered her questions more readily. She explained that her father, Johnathan, hailed from the Scarred Wasteland and if Vidofnir wished to meet him, Aurorae would tell her the location of his clan. Seeing the opportunity to both explore Sorneith and learn of herself, Vidofnir readily accepted and Aurorae drew her a map to her father's clan. Vidofnir departed the next day, promising to write, and started to the Scarred Wasteland. Upon crossing the border, Vidofnier was enthralled. The contagion was unpredictable and ferocious but also endlessly fascinating. Vidofnir admired its constant change and new discoveries came every day, all which she excitedly wrote home about. Eventually, she found Johnathan's clan, a plot of land called Sanctuary. Here, dragons worked the land and made something beautiful out of the seemingly unforgiving landscape. Vidofnir inquired after Johnathan and was directed to a massive observatory tower. Within, Vidofnir found collections of documents, trinkets, nd treasures. She wished to observe them all, but pressed forward until she found an orca-colored mirror: Johnathan. He greeted her kindly and asked if she sought adventure. Vidofnir replied that she was his child, hatched from Aurorae's nest and Johnathan stared, dumbfounded. Embarrassed, Vidofnir dismissed herself, but Johnathan pursued. He apologized for his reaction but explained that he was not aware of Vidofnir's existence, but said that he would be delighted to know her and asked if she would dine with the Sanctuary. Vidofnir accepted and joined the Sanctuary for dinner. She conversed not only with Johnathan, but others of her family: her aunt Mina, cousin Theresa, and grandmother Millicent, who founded the Sanctuary. They welcomed Vidofnir and asked if she would stay. Vidofnir hesitated but when Johnathan expressed his excitement to adventure with her, Vidofnir accepted. She wrote to Aurorae that night, telling of her intention to stay in the Sanctuary not only as an adventurer but an ambassador to her original clan. Here, she remains, honoring her origins while paving her own path.
