Anamaria resented the darkness of the Tangled Wood. She claimed it masked her great beauty and that a brighter place would better suit her where her beauty could be beheld. She believed this place to be the Starwood Isles, as she believed their dazzling bright magic would accentuate her appearance. Determined, she set off for the Starwood Isles. However, the journey required her to pass through the Scarred Wasteland, a dangerous feat for any shadow dragon. Luckily, she met Annabelle who accompanied her to the Sanctuary. Initially, Anamaria had intended to only stay the night and continue her journey at dawn, but over dinner, she met Silas, a handsome aberration who complimented her appearance. However, she hesitated. She had heard of a violet aberration that had broken many hearts in the Tangled Wood, and wondered aloud if he was the same. Silas denied these claims and continued to flatter Anamaria. Eventually, they took a nest, and Silas praised her through each incubation period. When the eggs hatched and Anamaria was free to leave, she hesitated. For the Sanctuary was bright enough to showcase her beauty and Silas praised her ten times over. She asked Silas if he would remain loyal to her should she stay, and Silas swore that he need not seek any other beauty when Anamaria was unrivalled. Satisfied, Anamaria remained in the Sanctuary, basking in the light and Silas's praise.
