• O R I G I N •
Nivis found it in the woods badly injured. They nursed it back to health, but it wasn't easy. The banescale didn't trust them at first. They were two feral beasts, and several times Nivis thought to eat it, eat it, EAT IT! But they did not. They took pity on the creature that still held fire in its heart. Just as Kaith had taken pity on poor, poor Nivis. The IceWarden whispered that the little one had potential, just as they had potential. This little bird would not perish here, but join them on the Hunt! Now more than ever they had to look after their Brothers and Sisters of Ice. It took an entire season to mend the bones and close the wounds. Nivis cared for it as it had never known another living creature to do. After months of sharing the same bed, food, water, and warmth, Snikt went from feeling hostile agitation to casual understanding for the strange two-headed beast that had found it bloody and battered in the woods. They understood one another on a level of basic necessity and raw instinct, words were rarely exchanged, but they worked together to maintain the small dwelling Nivis had made them as Snikt regained its strength. When the time came to test its wings, Snikt did not hesitate. The long flight back to the pack was ahead of the both of them, and Nivis was anxious to be going. They had often prattled on about the pack of Gaolers that had adopted them into their ranks. It was a simple, hard life, and Snikt did not ask questions or say much of anything, only listened. Nivis was insistent, if not already resolute that Snikt would come along with them and join the pack too. • P E R S O N A L I T Y • It doesn't speak to the others. It doesn't need to. Nivis gives safety, Kaith gives orders. All that it wants to do is Hunt and eat and find restful satisfaction once the bones have been picked clean.
• C U R R E N T L Y •
When Nivis returned to the pack with another small creature trailing behind them Kaith was livid. "The Mother continues to test me with all of you children! I searched for your corpse in the snow for weeks! You didn't answer me when I called, and here you tell me that your were away, nursing this little creature back to health all this time?! And for what? A friend? A pet? Are you mad?! I do not need another mouth to feed! You will go to bed without dinner tonight, and count yourself lucky that you ever eat again in my circle!" Nivis reassured Snikt that this was normal. Kaith would warm up to the idea of a pair of eyes in the sky quickly. The old female was hard as ice, but had a soft spot for feathered things as it were. Snikt is a simple creature who Nivis considers their own Familiar despite clearly being another dragon.

Snikt is very quiet and very fast. Where it lacks in strength it makes up for it utility.
