Nervously you sit across the low table from him while he peers deeply into the small teacup. He swishes it a few times, stares unblinkingly into it for what feels like an anxiety filled eternity, then makes a short huff through his nose. The piercing eyes are then turned to you, while trying not to squirm within the intense gaze you immediately search for something, anything that might betray what the fortune teller has just foreseen. You gather nothing from the expression, no quirk of the ruby eyebrow, no flick of the trailing whiskers, nothing. Finally he speaks, though his words are clipped you can glean some small sympathies from his voice while he explains the doom portended within the dregs.

As the small dragon exits the cave, Rehikros settles down into his seat with a sigh. While visitors are luckily few and far between these days, there seems to be a connection between the desperation of the dragon willing to face the challenges to seeking his guidance and the greatly diminished chances of a happy ending to their situation. He winced thinking of the way the most recent visitor had openly cringed at his eyes. They weren't always this way, when he was young they were perfectly normal, dare he say beautiful, yet the longer he spent in the future, the more grotesque they had become. There was a reason he mostly kept to himself now.
