Biography

It seems this Gift from the Plaguebringer has wandered a little too far from home and now she is off to see the world.

Should you ever feel the need to Exalt her, Thea would be grateful if you instead helped her return home or back to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, despite it not being mandatory.

Cycle of Life
the Crimson Pact

It was foretold the Plaguebringer would very soon anoint one most unholy, corrupted champion. An avatar of Her virulent will, a reward bestowed upon Her loyal children and noxious followers, a guide sent for all Plague dragonkind.

Theories arose and rumors spread, before more thoughtful speculation. Some were able to discern the purpose of Thea and her name, indeed inspired by its meaning: a gift of god - the donation promised by their pestilent Deity. They soon realized however, the truth would not be so simple or poetic.
"A prophecy that misread could have been.."

Thea was not sent as a second coming, not a putrid seer or one to lead, not an heir to the rotten throne, but as an emissary decay. Rather than a gift, Thea was dispatched as an imposing, cruel reminder to all worshipers of life and continuous growth, for that is in reality the most unnatural.

The pact between Thea and the Plaguebringer explained her mission more clearly, as well as her motives to travel the world. It was to facilitate the cycle of life, to bring about the end for many, so their cycle may begin anew. That powerful ability revolves around manipulating the essence of life itself, it just so happens certain creatures bleed red.. And it just so happens that is her favorite kind.

Thea's arrival to the Wispwillow Grove wasn't the most eventful. After all, it wasn't that long of a journey from the Gladeskeeper's domain to the domain of the Shadowbinder. She had heard whispers amongst the winds of a spiral who resided within the grove, one who spread disease wherever he ended up going. It was her mission, this time, to seek him out and perhaps forge an alliance. Pushing forward, Thea followed the lanterns that lit a path until she reached a clearing. She could see many different dragons within the clearing, but not yet the one she was expecting.

Staying hidden from sight, Thea scanned the lit up area until she finally managed to spot something different from the rest. There, in a distant corner still within the clan but far enough away, Thea could see the dead foliage surrounding the mouth of the cave, as well as several tendrils and membranes attaching themselves to the darkened walls - a telltale sign of plague. Quickly, Thea made her way to the cave and slipped inside. There was indeed a spiral inside, talking to another spiral and a guardian - neither of whom were plague, but yet seemed unaffected by the contagion that surrounded them. The tendrils and membranes of the plague were more apparent inside, and Thea looked on in awe.

"How did you get in here?" Thea was startled by a smooth voice, and she looked at the white spiral who was now looking at her. The darker spiral turned to look as well, his goat-like eyes showing he was a lightening dragon. The smile on his face was unsettling. The guardian didn't turn to look at her, seemingly unfazed. "My name is Thea. I am here on a mission from the Plaguebringer." This seemed to pique the white dragons interest. "That would explain how you are..unaffected by my contagion. Forgive my manners, My name is Pestilence. The other two are Death" he motioned toward the Guardian, who now turned to face Thea. "and Famine." He finished, referring to the dark spiral with the twisted grin.

"I believe you and I could be great assets to one another, plagueling. I wish to strike a...proposal." Pestilence said, tilting his head for a moment. Thea was intrigued. "Go on..." She said, making a motion with her claw akin to that of telling him to continue. Pestilence grinned maliciously. "I can help you in your mission, and you can be of use to me. Spread my disease. Since you aren't one of the Horsemen, you aren't immune to spreading it. You may be immune to the contagion itself, but any dragon you come into contact with outside of this clan has a possibility of contracting my contagion." He began. Thea listened with her full attention, a grin reaching her lips. "Naturally, other Plaguelings will have an immunity against it. But others, not so much. Granted, there is a cure. It won't kill them immediately. But the point still stands. Do we have a deal?"

Thea couldn't help the grin that graced her features as she turned to leave the cavern to continue her mission and spread the disease. Before she took off, she spoke one word.

"Deal."

With this mission in mind, Thea headed off & kept flying until she saw a clan to start spreading her newest disease. A huge castle walled off by layers of walls, what a lively looking kingdom! Not for long though, hehe. >:D Before she landed, she shot a small amount of the disease at a tree near the wall,

She landed near the entrance of the kingdom's outermost gates, leaving a trail of dead grass & flowers where she walked. Thea wanted to start from the very edge of the kingdom & work her way to the castle, where she was sure to be able to kill off some very high ranking dragons! As she walked towards the gate's front door, she noticed a dragon flying into the kingdom, a very plague-looking ridgeback as well. The ridgeback caught Thea's attention, & the next thing you know, this ridgeback was right behind her.

"Wow, you look so cool! My name is PoisonIvy, the flight's plague rep, but a beauty like you can just call me Ivy." Ivy then shot her a big smile

Thea was flabbergasted! She had never heard something so positive about her before! But before she could approach this ridgeback she had a gut feeling she shouldn’t go inside for some reason- so she then flew away. Hopefully she’ll see the lovely plague ridgeback again. But for now, it was time to go.

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age

Thea had arrived at a sanctuary of Nature called The Refuge, ready to bring about a new cycle of life and death. After spreading diease and turmoil around the clan, she realizes she is harming one of plague's few allies in nature, and helped create vaccines to keep them safe. Now that peace was been secured, she is ready to move on.

Notes
Initially Thea was going to be a Hemomancer (blood bender/mage), but her story somehow ended up as a nod and reference to the cycle of life and death - Nature versus Plague - if you will. All in an attempt to make it subtle, safer, or a more generally friendly dragon bio and lore. I certainly don't regret the final result!
