Personality
Sasaki is quite a laid back individual, often relaxing in various places around the cavern. He's a little smug and a bit of a flirt, but he doesn't throw compliments to be mean. His often seemingly flirtatious teasing is just his way of trying to get someone to lighten up. Some people take kindly to it and others....take it way too seriously.
This young man is quite lovey and a bit too touchy for some, but it's all in good nature. It's just the way he's always been. Often confused when he's shoved away and a bit sad because of it. He just wants too cuddle. He is also hard to truly make angry, he's more for small and subtle acts of revenge, depending upon the circumstance. Rather than going after someone with the intent of serious harm, however, if pushed to such means. Sasaki won't hesitate and it will be in a smug fashion. Sasaki is also talented with his magic and often uses it to help map astronomy charts among other things. |

Backstory Sasaki was born in a very dusty, dark place. It must of been some sort of ancient structure where bookshelves piled as far as he could look up. Not much light got into the massive, stained glass windows as they were dulled with age. Their colors no longer as vibrant, but their stories still held meaning. |

The bane of rival tengu troupes. A marvel and inspiration in her time. During her reign there was peace beyond peace. Security. Enough to produce a princess and for Mona to safely raise her own offspring. The two often gushing over their little ones, Babysitting Princess Yuki while Odea was away. Gradually it became more and more frequent, worrying. Whispers of an invasion reached the main compound. Naturally Mona kept such rumors away from the innocent ears of the princess, but her own fear remained. The human-avian creature prepared for the worst in subtle ways. Bolstering forces in and around the castle, grasping at whatever command available to her to ensure Queen Odea's heir. The harpy's own young had fledged and Mona prayed whatever threat on the castle, wouldn't find her own children. Three weeks had passed with no word from Queen Odea. Yuki had become distressed with her mother's disappearance. Unease had befallen the compound in general. Hints of desperation coming through even on the highest level. Scouts hadn't returned. Supplies were no longer coming in or out. Someone was putting pressure on Queen's Odea's territory. As the substitute head, Mona wasn't having it. Civilians and those with no combat training or background were evacuated. Evicted from their homes and professions. Their lives more important. The rest remained to defend their queens throne. Princess Yuki refused to evacuate, despite Mona's best efforts to get her out of harms way. Instead she was barricaded deep in the labyrinth of cellars. Air wet with cold, but sky devoid of clouds. Beautiful on any other occasion, had it not been misted by smoke. Embers doing their their best to mimic stars. Queen Odea's castle lay sieged. A once breath taking building scorched and painted red. Dead scattered about. "Your queen is dead." Hissed a tengu. Unfamiliar, eyes of cold fire staring down at her. A no name, a rogue. Both rare and frightening that such a young demon had managed to blind side a long standing establishment. He hadn't just taken Queen Odea, but many of the rivaling troupes as well. Shiho is what he called himself. He'd come for the princess and through one eye, Mona watched on in agonizing helplessness as decades slipped through her fingers. Even with the wrath of hell behind her, the harpy only managed to wipe away half his face. A few fingers if she was lucky. While he'd taken everything. Tears and blood burned her eyes, eventually blacking out from pain. Despite his ruthlessness that night, Shiho had left the former head familiar with her life. The palace would never be the same, familiars became lowly servants. Not friends. Any who refused to submit were executed or forced into combat with beasts in training. Folk who survived the initial raid were subject to harsh reprimands by newly issues guards and other's who followed Shiho until they fell in line, defected or were killed. No doubt being left alive was it's own form of punishment, a sick form of torture as Mona lived chained. Number one enemy in Shiho's eyes. Left to sweep halls, move supplies and any other important less task no richboy wanted to bother with. Cut off from Princess Yuki, they couldn't have her influencing the girl or attempting to flee with her. Couldn't have a king with no queen. Mona gagged. Catching the raider's cruel smirk whenever he caught her glaring. With only Shiho's rule and the influence of other in his troupe, the princess changed. Conforming to harsh standards, fearing the alternative. No longer daring to oppose her betrothed, not even over meals. Spirit broken and pieced together into something unrecognizable. No acknowledgement for her past babysitter, not so much as a glance. That hurt the most, followed closely by being her wet nurse. Queen Yuki's first brood was a surprise, seemingly to everyone. The tengu pair had barely been married a year, naturally hush whispers and accusation of an affair worked it's way around the compound. But regardless of the gossip. Queen Yuki was sickly, pale and in no condition to parent triplets. With the king more interested in flaunted them like show animals and little else. Mona was reminded off her own offspring. Children she hasn't seen in decades, perhaps the void that took over her heart is what lead her to take on Yuori. The harpy became somewhat of a surrogate mother figure for the infant tengu. Far more lenient and understanding then his biological parents. Living a double life under the guidance of a scored familiar, learning twice as much. Maturing into a handsome young man, just as formidable as his father. Even if his true heritage hadn't been found out, Mona believes Youri would've been evicted anyway. He was a threat to Shiho. Yu couldn't be broken, even on the night he was declared a false heir. He'd tore the elder tengu's wings while only receiving scratches in return.
