Exa Zato

Exa was a light warrior from a realm far from the Vampire and Demon kingdoms. An excellent paladin, he guided fellow angels to grow stronger and prepare for any incoming threats from the continuously growing darkness that radiated from the conflict. He truly desired peace between the kingdoms and planned out a way to make his pleas heard.


Eventually, he travelled down and ventured into one kingdom, in attempt to try stopping the fighting. Unbeknownst to him, the vampires and demons were not only wary of newcomers, but very afraid of creatures of light -- and being an angel, Exa was the most dangerous light creature (and outsider) to cross them. Just a mere touch of his fingertip could cause the beings of darkness to combust and otherwise die, causing definite mayhem in their respective kingdoms.

Both kings threw him out, ordering him to never return unless he wanted to be crushed in a most brutal manner, and Exa gave them a sharp threat of his own, murmuring "you'll regret this" before leaving. It was then that his first speck of darkness began to take over.


More of his fellow angels came down to check on progress, and when being told that the kings threw their leader out, they wanted to help with another attempt. Exa refused and prepared to take them back, but a sudden war broke out and while Exa was able to escape the fray, the others were killed by ranged attacks before being trampled by the fighting soldiers. Due to their deaths, the light inside could no longer harm the fighters, and Exa could only beg and plea for them to stop.


Exa tried to stop them with his light magic, but due to the stress and emotional pain he felt, the magic wasn't at full power. The soldiers then began to mock him for being "weak", in which Exa responded with an angry burst of darkness, scattering them before fleeing.


The darkness quickly took over Exa, and his once bright, white wings began to form into a couple of pitch black, draconian wings with red insides. His middle pair's feathers withered and turned near black, and even now, they continue to deteriorate and fall the longer they remain out.

His armor, too, turned pitch black, and was adorned with huge, red markings that resembled a monstrous skull, along with sharp shards on his chest that appeared like snarling teeth. His once gentle hands turned into large, clawed weapons of destruction, of which were now covered in thick armor with bone-like tips.

His flowing, blonde hair was soon no more, but from time to time, people mention seeing what appears to be black strings of hair from behind his helmet.
His pleasant stare became angry and cold, while his bright, yellow eyes became a threatening red, hinting at the rage he now feels toward the enemy kingdoms.

Even his magic changed; His healing light spells turned into destructive dark magic, and he began to summon various dark beings, all who proclaim his new name, the name none dare speak...
