Pieskos hummed, the rings of the great star scryer spinning slowly around the scalding orb of flame contained at its center. Pieskos was well known for bringing fairytale characters to life. It charged by feeding upon the tales spoken within the Cathedral’s Hearth and used this energy to blur and distort reality, concealing the Cathedral’s location. No one predicted that it could blur those lines so completely at times, that characters from the tales it fed upon would begin to exist in reality as well. Certainly, it was an unusual gift. . . yet a worrisome one as well. “Who will prevent it from pulling dangerous beings into this world?” the Cathedral’s residents murmured. . . and they sought someone capable of interacting with and controlling the fires of Pieskos. Countless flame masters once attempted to control the star scryer, but none succeeded. Even those who could control the scryer’s molten core were still burned by the dark flames of Shade that lingered. The Barghest pup, Tanka, had been the only one that the scryer had not corrupted or burned away. Perhaps it was because the Barghest was equally cursed by darkness that the Shade within the Scryer did not devour her. . . and she was born of foxfire, which allowed her to easily withstand the flames. She coaxed the fire forth and whispered her own tales into the flames. The scryer brought them to life. The first of the children woven by Tanka and the scryer, Pieskos were created from tales of the drinks that travelers had enjoyed. Three of them sprung forth from the fires, their blood as intoxicating as alcohol to those that dared spill it. Woven from magic and shade, they slipped off into the world.

Bright Eyes Needed
Formerly Jaguar/Constellation/Opal Imperial with Rare Eyes.
Lore Ideas:
- Sprung forth like an ember herself, swiftly disappearing into the crowds that visited the Hearth to exchange stories
- Almost like a wisp of sorts, difficult to spot as she left to find more places like the Hearth
- Stayed at taverns and inns, drawn by tales of adventure and treasures hidden far away
- Eventually decided she couldn't find a place that was naturally like the Hearth
- Traveled a bit longer, wanting to find other places for stories to be told
- Finally heard of a place where stories were kept in abundance, unaware these stories happened to be extremely flammable
- Was barely caught in time as she tried to enter the Archivists' wing of the Tourmaline Archives
- Initially difficult to reign in, especially when those who caught a whiff of her blood wound up too close
- Even Samael, who was well known for his love of spirits, was floored trying to hold her in place
- It came as a surprise, then, when Kaurik, the Elder of the Garden, left his home to see this creature of fiery spirits and a temper to match
- Only spared a similar fate to Samael's when he showed he was willing to listen to her woes, at least to try and learn of why she had broken into a library
- She told her story to those around her, arousing intrigue to learn more of her past
- Also led to whispers of Barghests, since many lived in the Garden of the Eleven
- Was told of the library Kaurik kept in the Garden, and given an opportunity
- If he protected the books there from her flames, she could live in the library, reading all the stories he had kept
- She took it a step further, asking if others could travel to the library as well
- Kaurik agreed, only if they could find guards for the other more malevolent Barghests that lived within
- Now helps Kaurik in the library, turning rooms into places to rest and read, if not exchange stories orally, like at the Hearth
- No visitors yet, but she hopes to someday make the library a hub of fanciful dross spun by talented voices near and far
- Has a favorite book, though she hasn't told anyone why that is, especially since it isn't her own
- Even tries to convince the friendlier Barghests to tell their own tales, or at least practice for when drakes will come to visit the library
- One of the Garden's guards has taken an interest in her project, and secretly brings out books of his own to read to her
- Samael likes to visit as well, if only because he's curious about other aspects of her
- Razael has even come down to visit, if only to provide his own stories to soothe the Barghest
- Library is slowly being turned into a hub of sorts for the Garden, and is the first true restoration project there
- Hopes to someday settle in her little Hub to listen to stories herself, even if she must feed on others
- Is trying to train herself to only take little bits, skimming off of those who visit so she can continue to listen to stories
