Charon can be difficult for some in the clan to get along with, as he can be a bit too assertive and straightforward. He's not a mean dragon, but he's bold, confident, brash, and doesn't bite his tongue. Some think these traits make him a jerk, but the truth is that he's got a kind heart beneath it all - he's just also got a tendency to be a bit cocky and a habit of being blunt. It's not that his confidence isn't deserved - he's an intelligent and strong dragon, and he's the clan's most skillful hunter. He knows this, and he doesn't try to act humble about it, which rubs others the wrong way sometimes.

Charon's got a sense of humor not particularly suited to young ears, and he can be somewhat loud. He's not exactly a welcome presence around the hatchlings and young dragons, though often the younger dragons themselves think he's the epitome of cool.

Charon is the leader of the clan's hunting and fishing parties, filling a role for them similar to the role Priscilla fills for the clan's warriors. He's the clan's most skilled hunter and he's more than earned his rank. His subordinates respect him and follow his lead without complaint - helped by the fact that Charon is cunning, clever, and strategic in the way he approaches a hunt, always looking to get the most reward for their effort. Under his guidance, the clan's hunting party often returns to the lair with an impressive array of prey items.

He is mates with Silas, and the two live together in a den near the center of the lair. They've been together since they were teenagers, and Silas swears Charon has a sweet side to him - though nobody but them has ever seen it. He claims it's normal for him to bring him small gifts he finds while out on hunting expeditions, or to do favors for them without them even asking. One thing everyone has seen is that Charon is fiercely protective of Silas, and he won't hesitate to come to his defense if he feels he's being threatened or disrespected. Both he and Silas are rarely messed with - partly out of respect, and partly out of fear.

Charon's dedicated to his work, but unlike Priscilla, he knows how to relax when he's got free time. He enjoys big gatherings and parties, and it's fairly common for there to be something of the sort happening at his den. He has a bit of a rebellious streak, although it pales in comparison to Sid's rebellious nature. Still, he's not opposed to doing things like sneaking out of clan territory just for fun sometimes - though compared to Axel and Brunch, it's not such a concern when Charon does it, as he's plenty strong enough to protect himself.

He's friends with Sid, and the three - Charon, Sid, and Silas - can often be found hanging out together. Charon is older than Sid, though not by much, and considers him somewhat of a younger brother in many ways. He's also friendly with Vaindin, having met through their work. They will often train together, both always looking to improve their physical form and become stronger, more efficient fighters.
