HYDROGEN
Introducing himself as "Lord Hydro", he was an exceptionally arrogant, willful and haughty dragon. Hydrogen was born as a talented fighter to the leader of a wealthy warrior clan. He excelled in combat with very little effort and training. However, he squandered his talent. He chose to indulge in petty behavior which caused trouble for his family. Any mischief he made was resolved by using his status as the young master of his family's clan, which allowed him to easily bully others. It was not surprising that he became like this. Everything was given to him as he grew up; from his high status, to weapons, clothing, scrolls, and the finest foods known to Sornieth. To him, few other dragons were worthy enough to be his equal. His clan spent many gems on his selfish demands. After several scatterscrolls, his colourful and somewhat chubby form became to his liking. Hydrogen flaunted his wealth and handsome figure, taking pleasure in the envious gazes of others. He viewed them with disdain for being so poor... — Also, he was a playboy. |

Betrayal... Hydro’s clan had many subordinate clans beneath them which contributed to their wealth in exchange for protection. His family had high influence within their region, leading many to fear and respect their clan. Everything changed one day. While performing their duties, they suddenly received multiple reports from their subordinate clans that Beastclans were attacking several areas within their territory. Hydro’s family needed to send out most of their guards to quell the reported invasions. His clan was left with minimal protection, but this usually did not matter during times of peace. However, it was at this exact moment that the majority of the smaller clans banded together under one name to overthrow Hydro’s family. The invasions reports were false, it was all a ruse to leave Hydro’s clan vulnerable. The guards that had been sent out were killed or captured. The main clan area was assaulted and more were killed. Hydro’s parents sent him away through a hidden escape tunnel before the fighting reached them. To them, he was a disappointment but they loved him dearly. He was their hope that their family could continue on. Hydro, no, Hydrogen would forever remember the pain and helplessness he felt that day. With his clan eliminated, Hydrogen originally travelled with a few of his family’s closest retainers until he heard them plotting to kill and rob his corpse. Sickened by the greed of all of these once trusted dragons, he preemptively struck fatal blows upon them before fleeing to the Southern Icefields. His life changed from that point on. He could no longer rely on others, he could only trust himself. He quietly worked hard to strengthen himself, his half trained fighting skills turned into something truely deadly. The chubbyness became rippling muscles under his scales. One day he would take revenge on the dragons who killed his family —planning to take back his clan by force, sparing no one. He continues to grow stronger and hone his instincts by taking on mercenary work. This work is made available at the Sword and Scales store (which doubles as a handler for these kinds of tasks) at the station's craftman level. For the time being, he is staying at the only Inn at the trading station. Hydro's perfect work record has and tireless work ethic allows him to afford one of the best rooms there. In his spare moments, he enjoys looking out of the roim's window into the arboretum below. |
