Swallowtail did not want to follow his siblings and go find a new place to live. Many of them called him a coward, but his parents and grandparents and especially his aunt Meadow all assured him it was his decision alone and that he shouldn't feel pressured by the ignorance of others to live his life. When he met Windweaver, it was love at first sight. Though she is a traveling dragon, he has spent months trying to convince her to stay in the Cave with him for good. Windweaver is still undecided. She was promised a warrior's welcome upon her return, since she has completed her assigned task in her journey, but her love for Swallowtail stalls her.
Before Windweaver left, he insisted they begin training together, led by his grandmother Angel. The elder dragon watched over her grandson and his lover and couldn't help but feel his pain. She would not want to lose Knightshade the same way.
