๑Family Of Cattle๑
A wealthy man who married 7 times and divorced 3 times in the span of 25 years. He had 4 noble sons and 5 lovely daughters. A wife who was as graceful as a swan and as beautiful as a white rose. Sybil's mother was the Fourth wife who died after Sybil was born. Her mother was known as the "forgotten wife" because no one truly remembered the time she was there.
After her death, the Duke married a lovely woman who bore 2 children. A son and a golden daughter with bright pink hair. The rest of the children born have no meaning in the story. All that matters is Sybil and the favorite child. Dearest Edith was a child who was favored by everyone. But sadly Edith left this world young and died at the age of 17 a few months before her debut.

៚Today & Tomorrow៚
Tears slide down the cheeks of those before her. Dressed in black and cloth that covers their faces. Annoying. This whole thing annoyed her so she decided to leave. Upon the hill where the moon rises is where she'd be, sat next to a tree, lost in thought. Her eyes were a dull shade of gold, unlike her sisters whose eyes shined as bright as the sun that set before her. These eyes were dull and they have been since the day she was born. This day was known to be a sad day for the family but this day is just like yesterday and today will be the same as tomorrow. No one noticed she was gone and if she were dead no one would notice that either. That is just how she liked it. This moment is peaceful. Maybe every day will be like this from now on? No longer having to hear her sister's name come out of people's mouths. No longer listening to her sister's voice ring through her ears. Today won't be the same as tomorrow because tomorrow Edith won't be here.

"I knew you'd be here!" A taunting voice spat out from behind Sybil. Brother Mathew, the worst of them all. He glared at her and came closer while Sybil backed away. "Can't even attend your own sister's funeral? I bet it was your fault this all happened!" He shouted walking closer to Sybil until another voice interrupted. "Enough! Sybil loved Edith just as much as you did Matt" A calm and composed Thomas intervenes in the fight. The second oldest brother favors Sybil slightly only due to his hate towards Mathew. "Really? You must've forgotten the time she prayed for Edith's death every night in the attic!" Mathew was right but that was many years ago. He'll never let it go, will he? Thomas shook his head and took Sybil's arm. "Shall we pay a visit to the garden dear sister?" With a nod, Sybil and Thomas left Mathew who then fell to his knees and cried. He truly loved Edith the most, such a good brother. Quiet. No words were needed between them and that's how Sybil liked it. Thomas was the only one who understood her the most in this family of Cattle.
He was the only one who came to her rescue when everyone else was against her. He was the only one to believe her because he knew deep down Sybil couldn’t lie. Thomas’s hand lapped over Sybils and for a moment they locked eyes. He hesitated to speak, "Will you be joining us for supper?" Sybil shook her head no in reply letting go of his arm. Her dim eyes looked up at her mournful brother who tried his best to hide the pain. “Thank you for walking with me brother, Thomas. I will be taking my leave now” Sybil's plain response with her dull expression made it all the worse. Thomas wore a perplexed expression before he finally spoke again. “Don’t blame yourself. Mathew is just hot-headed so don’t listen to anything he says. I know you loved her just as much as we did” He stopped. Thomas reached out, placing his hand on Sybil's cheek. “You’re also my precious little sister so if you ever get lonely you have me too” he uttered. His cheeks turned pinkish and he finally removed his hand from the other cheek placing it awkwardly at his side.

Sybil only nodded in reply and after a moment of silence, Thomas bid her goodnight. Thomas watched as Sybil walked away until she finally disappeared behind the door. His words mean nothing just as all the rest. He only said such things because he misses Edith. Now that Edith is dead he no longer can play the role of a caring big brother. Though he may try to play this role on Sybil it will be no use, Sybil is not Edith. Sybil is and how she always will be, dull. Her melancholy is who she is and who she’ll always be.

Quiet. No words were needed between them and that's how Sybil liked it. Thomas was the only one who understood her the most in this family of Cattle. They stopped at the willow tree that Edith loved so much. "Will you be joining us for supper?" Sybil shook her head and let go of his arm. Her dim eyes looked up at her brother, "Thank you for the walk brother, Thomas. I will be heading to my room now" Sybil began to walk away until a hand caught her. "Don't blame yourself. Mathew is just hot-headed so don't listen to anything he says. I know you loved her just as much as we did. You're also my precious little sister so if you ever get lonely you have me too." Thomas watched as Sybil slowly walked away from his view. He only said this because he missed Edith. He didn't want me to die from loneliness or worse end up like Edith. The family is still in shock from her death maybe because she didn't leave a note?

The next few months passed by and life was the same as ever for Sybil. Her siblings didn't pick on her much due to Thomas being by her side. It seems he has a new "precious little sister" who happens to be Sybil. The others don't care enough to bother with Sybil and go on with their lives. Her gloomy eyes seem slightly bright as the days go on without Edith. Some think Sybil is happier lately which is amazing. Many haven't seen her smile since she was a toddler. Mathew is the only one who tends to pick with Sybil but even he has gotten bored of the constant fights. He no longer finds joy in fighting with her. During the social season, Sybil attended wearing white just like Edith did. No one knows why Sybil acted this way but they dare not to ask either. Only Mathew asked. He yelled at her in the garden over the dress. Sybil couldn't take the abuse anymore. "Should I kill myself, brother Mathew? Would it be better if I were dead too?" Mathew stopped and stared at her wide-eyed, "W-why would you say such a thing!" Sybil scoffed, "I want to be happy too. Edith was the only happiness I had and now she's dead. I sometimes think I'd be better off dead with her maybe then I wouldn't have to live with this pain and torment you put me through!" Sybil's eyes glowed a bright yellow as tears slipped out. She sobbed and fell to the ground her white dress getting covered in dirt. Her brother ran to her side and tried to comfort her. He didn't know the tears were fake though and that everything that Sybil said was untrue. After this night Mathew took Sybil's side and became the comforting older brother alongside Thomas. Soon Sybil even had her father's favor. She even took Edith's room which was once her room before Edith was born. Everything that Edith took from her came back as soon as she died.

Guilt. It eats you up for breakfast and at night it tears into your skull beating at your chest and ripping the happiness you have left. That is how I feel every morning of every day of every second I live without you. I see your smile when I look in the mirror that was once your mirror. You smile behind me as I change for dinner in the room that you once slept in. This room is now mine and everything that you once had is mine. I smile more than I ever have but the guilt tears me away every moment I smile. I smile knowing what happened and I smile knowing what I took from you. I'll be the precious little sister in your stead. I'll replace you because it's the least I can do, right? Why are you staring at me like that Edith? You're dead! It's not your room anymore! It's mine and it's always been mine. If only you hadn't been born! If only I could hate you then I wouldn't feel this way. I wish I could change things. I wish you never told me you were with a child. Then maybe you wouldn't be dead.

A simple argument led to a fight. The most angelic girl I'd ever met began to hit me and pull my hair. Such vile words came from the mouth that smiled at me. You were the only thing that made me happy in this world and yet you spit filthy words at me. For what? For trying to protect you! I wanted to protect you! You asked for it you told me to fight back when they bully me so I did! I pushed you back so you'd calm down so you'd stop hitting me! I didn't know...I didn't mean to. A loud thump with a crack suddenly rang through my ears. and there your body slumped to the ground head covered in blood. I watch your eyes go blank so fast. I cry out your name but you don't reply. I touch your arm that is still slightly warm though there isn't a movement, not even a single beat. I stare into the lifeless eyes that were a dim gold. They'll kill me. I carry your body on my back and rush into the woods. There near the cliff, I place you next to a rock. I beg for your forgiveness. Please wake up! Please! I can't live knowing I did this please Edith don't leave your poor sister alone. She never replied. I finally pushed her body into the raging river and watched her float away. I snuck back to the garden and cleaned her blood from the fountain. I went on with the rest of my day as if nothing had happened. I felt as if nothing had happened and I imagined it was all a dream. If only I had jumped in with you.

Meadows Of Gold

Goldeyes with a bright smile as she took my hand. Miles of yellow flowers, and petals fall before us as we run through the fields of gold. All I see is a head full of bright pink it shines from the glowing sun above us. We rest in the field and pick flowers making crowns to put on our little heads. She smiles at me and places a crown of flowers on my head she stands up and bows her head. I take her arm and pull her into my lap my slender fingers combing through her curly hair. She rambles about useless things while I pick petals out of her messy hair. I nod and silently watch as her golden eyes twinkle up at the sky. We will be late for luncheon but I don't care. I wish to stay in this field forever with my darling little sister. No one ever knew how close we were thus they blame me for your death. All is quite true though I never meant any harm towards you as we grew older. I once hated you that much is true but that hate turned into love and that love has never disappeared even when I pushed you or framed your death as suicide. Know this little sister I've loved you before you were born and I'll love you even when your body is rotted to the core.

Gone Tomorrow.

By the time you read this note, I'll be gone.
You must have already found my body.
I'm not sorry and I feel no guilt writing this.
For I can no longer live with myself.
I'm writing this note to comfort all of you. Not for my death but for your beloved Edith. For my death means nothing to you. Edith was pregnant with a child and had told me in the garden. We fought and I pushed her by accident. She hit her head on the stone fountain and died as soon as she fell over. I threw her body into the river to frame it as a suicide and lived on for months like this. I loved Edith so much I felt so mad at her for ruining her own life. But I realize now that I'm the one who truly ruined her life. If you find my useless body I ask that you place me next to my dear sister Edith. That is my last wish.
