As you make your way towards the beach for a day of fishing, you smile to yourself. The weather is kind and forgiving, surely you will bring your clan a good amount of food. They will be delighted after the little luck the hunters have had the previous weeks.
Your mind is filled with the faces of your clanmates when you suddenly feel your foot slipping under you. It's stuck. You struggle, trying to come free, but no matter how much you pull, there's no give.

A few meters away, you hear strange noises. As you turn your head to see what is happening, panic sets in.
Sharp claws dig their way out of the dunes. Strong wings propel the sand into the air and finally the Aberration appears fully. Black smoke surrounds her as she breathes heavily. She stares at you in silence, a smile creeps up on her face. You want to speak but no words make it out of your mouth.

She cackles at the sight, her voice sharp and devoid of any pity. "So kind of you to show up... We were just getting hungry."
Hungry? There had been a few disappearances lately but you would never have thought-...

You're frozen in fear, she knows it and seems to devour the moment like an appetizer. You can't take your eyes off of her, not even as her hatchlings join. Your heart beats too fast, your vision blurs, your entire body shakes.
"Don't worry. We won't waste any parts..." You let out a cry, begging for help but, soon, you are engulfed under them, their teeth biting any flesh they can reach.
You too, will disappear. And there won't be any bones left to bury.
