Biography
Clan Patriarch, geomancer, and Grumpiest Grump to have ever Grumped
Grumpy is Xalic's default expression. He's always complaining and muttering under his breath. He's very fussy, always making sure things are JUST. SO. and arranged to suit the flow of the ambient energies in the area. Busy bodies should just let him work and do his thing if they can't be useful. If there's a variation of feng shui and geomancy, he's well informed on the subject. Naturally, he's forever in despair while hatchlings are underfoot and making a mess.
He's also taken it upon himself to keep track of the clan's foodstores, since Seaglass apparently subsists on nothing but starlight. From there his purview expanded to include all of the materials that Seaglass had stashed away. As other dragons slowly started accumulating around them, he ended up in charge of those too.
He used to attend Arcane Consotriums and lecture on the importance of Ley Lines and telluric currents, but since everything goes to pieces when he's not around, he doesn't leave clan territories much any more.
He conisders himself fortunate that the place where he found his charge happened to be right smack dab in the middle of a territory claimed by another Guardian dragon. He shudders to think if it hadn't been Seaglass' territory, he might have had to fight and drive off any other dragon. She understood, and more importantly, tolerated him. They have an on-again, off-again relationship, stemming from their loud and riotous disagreements, which they both enjoy immensely.
It's best not to ask what led him to carve runes and graft metal armor to his hide. It's one of the few things that turn him from grump to actually angry.
