Sakuna was born into a group of traveling entertainers based in the Windswept Plateau, with her mother being a celebrated dancer, and her father a bodyguard of the group. Early in her life, her father decided to leave the small band to join the Windsinger's army. Before he departed, her father passed on all the knowledge of battle that he possessed. Sakuna took to the training much easier then the dancing and singing the troupe had attempted to teach her, and soon was a powerful fighter. She took over the role of bodyguard, and protected the band throughout their travels.

Soon after her father's departure, the group received a letter telling of his brave and honored death during a battle for dominance. Sakuna was devastated by the news, always idolizing her father. She became disillusioned with some of the ideals of her group after that, drawing inwards to cope with her loss. During a Mistral Jamboree, the entertainers busiest time of year, the group was preforming in the Light Domain. This is where Sakuna met Taxon, and received the proposition of joining the then small Clan. Sakuna relished the chance to leave her current lifestyle behind, and accepted this offer. She wanted a place where she could grow and prosper, without painful reminders of the past.

In her new home, Sakuna's cheerful demeanor had returned, causing her to be well-liked among her clanmates. She has protected the Clan from many threats, and tests her prowess in the Coliseum to further glorify Clan Abberate. After the move to the Temple, Sakuna also took on the role of Inquisitor, as she was one of the most respected clanmates, and the second dragon to ever join the clan. Despite her carefree nature, she was wise beyond her years when passing judgement on a dragon, and could always be counted on to be impartial. She was the main reason why the Impints won the battle after the discovery of Karna, and stood by her choices even though her former mate Sastra was lost in the conflict.

For a time Sakuna lived among Clan Voluistis, content with her role as the impartial Inquisitor. However, as years went by, Sakuna began to grow tired of passing judgement on her fellow dragons. She missed having a mate, and a life of battle and judiciary obligations meant she was left with little room to truly find herself. She left Clan Voluistis for broader horizons, eventually finding herself in the service of Clan Trismegistus, a fledgling clan with a speciality in magic and divination.

Here, she was reintroduced to Aeterno, a male imperial who happened to serve as an ambassador to Clan Voluistis from an allied Wind clan. With no other friends or family around, Sakuna and Aeterno quickly became inseparable, and eventually fell in love.

She was also instructed in the ways of Astronomy and Astrology by Perthros, the clans' spiritual leader and magical tutor. When Perthros' knowledge was exhausted, Sakuna continued to improve her skills and seek more knowledge. Sakuna now serves as the clans' Starseer, providing insight and advice with her telescope and trusty tarot deck.
