Though foolish, this dragon is hard-working, dedicated, loyal, and very, very under appreciated by Opalfire. Constantly pesters her to go back to her original clan, much to her irritation.

"Princess!" he wailed. Opalfire blatantly ignored him. The Matriarch turned to look at the spoilt ex-princess pointedly and waited. Two gazes boring into her, the blue Spiral finally sighed and gestured at him reluctantly. "Mystic Current. My bodyguard." "I've been looking all over for you, Princess," Mystic Current cried. "I'm so glad to see you're safe!" "He seems to care for you greatly," noted Snapback. The young dragon rolled her eyes. "He cares about my lineage, not me." "They've been giving me so much trouble for your absence. Please come back with me, Princess!"

"For the last time, no! I have a home here," Opalfire hissed, "with dragons that care for me, for who I am! I'd rather die than go back."

Her dedicated bodyguard wilted. "But Princess, they'll never take me back if you don't come with me."

"Join another clan then," came the dismissive reply.

Despair filled his eyes. Mystic Current seemed to shrink into himself. Suddenly he snapped his head up. "Matriarch," he gasped, voice full of hope. "Would you let me join your clan?"

As a Matriarch, Snapback had no need for a dragon whose loyalties clearly lay with another clan. As a mother, however, Snapback thought this newcomer would be good for her young, spoiled advisor. "Very well," she said. "Welcome to my clan."

He sprung into the air with glee. "Thank you, Matriarch! Thank you very much! Now I can protect the Princess, even here!"

Opalfire groaned. "I'm not a princess any more!"
