When Alyssum and Xylosma founded Clan Rafflesia, she did not see much of interest in her future. She created a place for outcasts and those hiding from the past, and dedicated herself to managing the territory and residents and healing injuries, not satisfied but resigned to a simple life. It was not long after the clan began building its population that Alyssum went on a trip, haunted by strange dreams that brought her to the Tangled Wood and kept her there for days. When she returned, she had changed in ways only her devoted mate seemed to notice.

Nights spent gazing at the moon, practicing magic, and filling her home with strange art and relics followed. Alyssum had become obsessed with whatever she had seen within the Tangled Wood, and dedicated herself to red skies and falling stars. The arrival of Asphodel within the clan affirmed her new faith, and she began spending more and more time with the new resident, rarely socializing outside her work. And while Xylosma is concerned, his loyalty is supreme, regardless of her path.

Alyssum is strict and surprisingly intimidating for her size, utilizing magic to break up fights and delivering sharp scoldings and punishments for causing trouble outside Xylosma's control. Her solemn demeanor and short, emotionless words do not seem fitting for a healer, but long time residents of Clan Rafflesia have adjusted well to her bedside manner, and view her as a valuable member of the community, regardless of her sociability- or rather, her lack of it.

76242881p.png 		As her mate and fellow founder, Xylosma is viewed upon kindly by Alyssum, and is one of the few dragons she remained social with after her trip to the Tangled Wood. While she does not regard Xylosma with the same blind loyalty that he regards her with, she is still willing to stick her neck out for him, and her surprisingly menacing presence has been lent to his defense more than once. She is never afraid to utilize her magic, should he require her assistance in any matter.
As hard as Jaborosa tried to present an unapproachable front, Alyssum could see all the way through him, and the two bonded quickly upon their first meeting. Jaborosa is one of the few dragons Alyssum regards as a friend, and while the two may not speak much when they spend time together, they have a silent understanding that gives her a good reprieve from Xylosma's own curt speech- and Alyssum would be lying if she said she didn't find any amusement in his upfront rudeness.

72211832p.png 		Asphodel was a surprising arrival in the clan to her, and she was wary of the stranger's intentions at first, suspecting her to be an obstacle or challenge to her goals. Asphodel quickly made it clear, however, that she was there only to assist Alyssum on her path, and nothing else. Alyssum holds a strong appreciation for her consistent loyalty, and Asphodel's near-daily visits and teachings have been incredibly useful in her studies and preparations.
