B I O G R A P H Y

Hailing from the Wispwillow Grove within the Tangled Wood, Vorta was avoided from the beginning, seen as a peculiarity at best and a menace at worst. One night, she vanished within the woods for several hours, and when she returned, she gathered her things and left without any explanation, leaving confusion and faint relief in her wake. Unlike many dragons who would one day join the clan, she did not spend time traveling but instead came straight to Clan Rafflesia, and requested to join. She decided not to keep a home, instead finding a place at the Serpent's Coil Inn, where she managed to convince the at-the-time single owner to house her.

Asphodel of Clan Rafflesia quickly became an anomaly, avoiding Lilac and speaking only to Orchid, visiting Alyssum for private sessions for several hours at a time and returning home with no explanation. She claims herself to be a seer and teacher of magic, and though she has proved the latter just fine, many find her claims of the former dubious. And though many request evidence, her ability to redirect conversations and get her way is simply uncanny.

Skilled at faking absent-mindedness, conversations with her can quickly lead in circles if she feels uninterested in answering the questions posed, and this can only lead to frustration- especially since she playfully agrees that she is dodging questions when accused. Asphodel treats social situations like a game, and her primary goal is to win. It remains a mystery how Alyssum is able to navigate her, and few are willing to even try.

Brought to Alyssum to fulfill a certain dragon's purpose, Asphodel is an invaluable ally to her, assisting her with her magic and studies as her clan leader pursues her dream. As somebody who never saw a future for herself, Asphodel's only goal in life is to fulfill Alyssum's goals, with no passions beyond that. Everything she does is in service of this, and she has little interest in dragons who aren't Alyssum.

A dragon met within the Tangled Wood, who whispered into her mind and led her down her current path in life. Bromeliad is a dragon Asphodel has met only once, but the effect she had on Asphodel was as profound and life-changing as a single meeting could possibly be. Bromeliad still dwells within Asphodel's dreams and visions, but the pearlcatcher holds no illusions that she will ever see her in real life again.
