Cloverfield had his mother's gift of prophecy from a young age. Unlike his mother, however, his episodes first manifested themselves as bouts of sleepwalking. These strolls often led him to his grandmother's cottage and the garden of bioluminescent flowers planted out back. In the morning, he would be found curled up amongst the flowerbeds and, somehow, there was never a petal out of place. His parents did their best to keep the young sage home; guards were posted outside of his room and the door triple locked. These barriers seemed to do nothing. He still found himself miles away from the castle, much to the chagrin of his parents. When he was old enough to live on his own, he was gifted the cottage and made it his life's work to figure out why it called him so. The answer did not come easy, it took years of poking and prodding the golden flowers for them to reveal their secrets. In the end, it was discovered that these flowers served as a magic power source. At this point in history, the Daergos had lost their innate magical abilities and it was believed that these flowers might have been able to bring them back. The royal family, however, kept this discovery a secret and allowed only those of royal blood to return to the days of old.
