Biography

Vincent and Charles Misc. Notes

-Since this is a world born from Charles' head, all Vincent's in the false realm are all the same. Charles never knew Vincent that well. Vincent was simply someone Charles idolized in the true realm, and that's what made it so easy for Charles to make a construct of him in his head to claim as the "god of his world". He saw Vincent's ideologies and thought they lined up with his, so he revered him an unhealthy amount.
That's why the Vincent vessels tend to be hopelessly suicidal. There's a large pit in the middle of the House that is full of his bodies.
-Charles himself doesn't like leaving the top floor of the House, but will occasionally use one of the Vincent vessels and go by the name of "C" while exploring the House. These "C" are no more accurate of a representation of Vincent as the rest, since it's still a creation of Charles'.
-Charles' idea of love is idolatry and admiration so strong, that you are willing to sacrifice your individuality. A very cult-like idea of love, and something he's told the real Vincent before.
He believes that the final, sole goal of love is the loss of individuality, much like in the story about the Paper Princess and the Ink Princess he told.
-The House's floors are all connected with an elevator, which is usually found in the center of each floor. Each different floor features a new Charlotte with a new plot, though some of these floors are no longer inhabitable by humans due to whatever story took place. The highest floor in the House is where Charles resides, as well as Mother (and the pit of dead Vincents beneath the black sun).
-Mother is the source of all the Charlottes, as well as the true power in the House. She's become quite grotesque to look at, and won't do much outside of creating floors and crying.
-Most Charlotte's are implanted with an "Oracle" upon creation, which supposedly allows the Puppeteer to control them. These "Oracle" also can grant a single wish at the cost of ending their "story". Sometimes there are cases when an Oracle cannot be implanted, or it is removed in some way before the Charlotte's story is ended. These Charlottes are referred to as "Defects". Some Charlottes are also able to break free from the Puppeteer's influence.
-Puppeteer's are responsible for guiding their Charlottes, and keeping her healthy and happy through her story. Puppeteer's cannot be heard without the influence of the Oracle, which brings into question whether they truly exist. There are currently four known categories of Puppeteers; Lilith, Seth, Adam and Eve. They each have slightly different personalities, though not much is known about them besides a brief description.

Sei and Tol Misc. Notes
-Dual gods of Creation and Destruction. Appearance and personalities inspired by yin and yang, even if it isn't reflected in the dragons I used to represent them.
-They used to be one being, but split themselves in half due to their loneliness. Both are extremely, unhealthily codependent on each other.
-Their true forms are more eldritch in appearance, and not something that can be easily viewed with human eyes. Or any other eyes for that matter. While the two of them take on more human forms, their true forms exist on a different plane that we cannot see. The closest thing to their true form would be the first form they took when trying to interact with humans; though the only ones that can remember what that looked like are now dead and not really in any position to speak anyways due to how they all went stark raving mad.
-Tol treats humans with a sort of indifference, as long as they don't interfere with either him or Sei. Sei on the other hand, treats mortals kind of like pets in a way. He really likes to soak up their adoration and worship, but also finds them kind of persistent and annoyingly high maintenance; which is why he agreed to Tol's condition of not revealing themselves as Gods. This doesn't stop him from making his human form more and more gifted with his powers, and still soaking in the adoration that way.
-After Sei's death, Tol tried to love people due to them being made by Sei. He couldn't though. He can't view them with any fondness when they're the reason Sei sacrificed himself; but maybe if he observes them long enough, he might see traces of Sei in them. And that might make him feel less alone.
-Tol's the type to not care what anyone else besides Sei thinks about him, which is why he took on the "evil" title humans put on him so easily. Sei on the other hand, is the type to say he's unaffected by other's opinions but really cares. Mostly because since he's their creator, their rejection of him is something he can't really help but feel despair at. But yeah, he really cares about other's opinions.
-Their human forms are much more nerfed than either God would prefer, but it can't be helped because too much of their divinity would burn out their physical forms. All that remains of their divinity in their human forms is their "core", though this "core" of theirs serves a different purpose from other gods. It's located where their heart would be, and pulses a white light if taken out of their body.
While in their human forms, they are cut off from their true body with the only connection between the two being their core. Significantly weaker in this form.
-This weakness of theirs was taken advantage of by a certain planet's gods. Lesser beings than them, yet still able to overpower Sei since he wasn't expecting it, and Tol was busy with his duties in another section of the world. Originally, the intent was to try and get Sei to give them true immortality, but it quickly devolved into a powertrip of sorts for the other gods, and when Sei was finally rescued by Tol he was changed significantly. The foolish little gods brought upon the very thing they feared most with their own actions. This event is the reason behind the main story, which eventually culminates in Tol reabsorbing Sei's powers, but Sei himself died. Tol still attempts to recreate Sei, but so far the attempts have been unsuccessful.
-Tol takes on Sei's forms and behavior of visiting his many worlds as a tribute to Sei. He's not as good at being a people person as Sei though; because he just...doesn't care about the lives of the mortals and immortals on these worlds. He finds them kind of annoying, really. But it makes him feel closer to Sei when he's among his creations. It's never enough though, it feels empty without his other half.
Quote:
Sometimes she finds this “Sei” crouching by the low flames at night, whispering into the furnace.
“I’m sorry,” she thinks she hears him say, the tip of his white braids brushing against the floorboards.
The strange white flames crackle quietly, and it almost sounds like “me too.”
