____Merry has always had an interest and a fascination for trinkets and treasures of all kinds. Ever since he was a hatchling, he’s kept little hoards of rocks, bits of strings, rusty coins, tufts of fur, fantastic leaves, you name it. Anything that speaks to him, he brings home. His treasures are strange and practically worthless, but he remembers the origin of each of them and looks at them with such warmth and delight that their true value cannot be denied.

Merry is a skilled tracker, a keen adventurer, and a spectacular finder of lost things. He loves solving puzzles and mysteries, and has a particular fondness for hopeless situations and unsolvable cases. He has a tendency to stumble into trouble, but also a wonderful ability to make good of any kind of sticky situation, and usually finds his way home more or less unscratched.

Merry, himself hatched from a stray egg, has a habit of picking up every abandoned egg he finds and bringing it back home with him. He doesn’t mind the wide-eyed hatchlings trotting at his heels, loves playing with them and letting them climb all over him. The hatchlings like him too, feel comfortable in his uncomplicated and cheerful company. Merry has a way of living in the moment and enjoying the little things, and those are qualities that a hatchling can appreciate.
