BIRTHPLACE
|
Vyara, the Comming Typhoon, daughter of Lord Tempest and Lady Storm of the Turrets of Goldensparc, hatched into an immense ancient lair in the heart of the Stormcatcher's domain. She was raised with royal status in comparison to other lairs of the Shifting Expanse, but Vyara loathed the prim and proper poise of it all, preferring its more powerful and prestigious accompaniments. She was clever and understood the role breed and rank played in one's potential, and in a many-centuries old clan, Vyara knew her ambitions were unattainable here.
Physically, leaving was easy- royals tend to make a challenge of breaking into their ranks rather than out, and Vyara would be keen to inform you- it was equally as simple emotionally. Perhaps this true at first, but the sheltered skydancer abruptly had to learn the world's ways. While they were socially similar to her castle keep's, this was by far a harsher life.
• •
She spent no more than a week racing between muddy mires and glassy rooks before she discovered the jewel-encrusted caverns of the Drowned Sanctum. Now this was fit for her future, but an empty castle wails in poverty- Vyara needed subjects to rule and a ladder to climb. She found it in the form of an obscure, abyssal clan floundering in its own conception. The clan's structure seemed clear, Imperial pair Aquaris and Zenith courted in their sealed cove while the lesser breeds- fae, tundra, and pearlcatcher -prepared the lair. The alpha especially drew her eye. He was a breed of renown, powerfully built, shone with the stars of a thousand galaxies, and perfectly impressionable... precisely what Vyara was looking for. However, he proved a challenge to court when Zenith, his intended, kept him close in their secluded, lazuli-encrusted den. Additionally, with so few members to this early iteration of the clan, there weren't nearly enough distractions or commotions. That was, until Waveheart's first brood hatched. The tiny, unadaptable Fae couldn't handle the tethers of parenthood, so he abandoned his own clan, opening the floodgates for Vyara's desired chaos.
• •
Within the optimal environment, it was too easy for Vyara to ensnare her target. And soon enough, she had the first generation soldiers of her matrilineal army: a clutch of three vibrant and nebulous eggs to dote on day and night.
