Biography

Cernunnos
Flight Emissary Consort

"What do you call a hunter without scars? A coward."

While his mate represents the kinder aspects of nature, Cernunnos embodies the philosophy of "Nature red in tooth and claw." He is a fearsome hunter and a perfectly lethal predator, and has taken to wearing trophies taken from his defeated prey. Although he is not the biggest dragon in the clan, he is definitely the fiercest, and most of the other dragons avoid arguments with him if they can. Nymph alone can temper his fierce disposition, and many of the dragons in the clan will enlist her help first if they need to bargain with her mate.

Drakes who come to Clan Kelenthe from outside the Viridian Labyrinth do not understand why gentle Nymph chose warlike Cernunnos as a mate. However, the Nature dragons in the clan see it as a perfect match, representative of the beauties and dangers of their home.

During times when the Gladekeeper's need is strongest, Cernunnos will take over the duties of training young drakes from Etowah and Druid. Unlike the other two trainers, Cernunnos refuses to ease his charges into their training. Instead, he takes them deep into the Shrieking Wilds, where they must learn to fight quickly if they are to be worthy of serving the Gladekeeper.
