Cedar
Biologist Cedar is an unusually somber Fae who was found on Clan Kelenthe's territory by one of the clan's sentinels, Druid. Although wary of him at first, Druid eventually realized the Fae was no threat to the clan, and later petitioned Kaja for Cedar's formal induction into the clan. Cedar spends most of his time studying the organisms native to the Viridian Labyrinth, claiming a desire to understand the magic inherent in all living things. Accompanied by his elk familiar, he often ranges far beyond the clan's territory in order to carry out this task. The clan's foraging parties can often hear Cedar swearing in the underbrush as his elk turns his latest scientific subject into lunch. Although normally a lone Fae would be an easy target for roaming Beastclans, Cedar has proven himself to be a formidable enemy. Attackers who make the mistake of interrupting his studies get toasted by Cedar's magical attacks as he flits through the forest's canopy or trampled beneath his elk's hooves when the massive animal bursts out of the undergrowth to engage those who try to hurt his master. While Cedar studies both flora and fauna, his favorite subjects are the reptiles and amphibians of Sornieth. He cares nothing for appearances when engaging in scientific inquiry and occasionally makes a spectacle of himself when one of his prized toads gets loose, leapfrogging after it in an attempt to corral it once more. |
