B I O G R A P H Y

Ricin is a violent, unpredictable assassin with a big attitude and little patience. She is the youngest member of Postmortem, yet she holds the highest kill count. Although she is normally loud and rude, she is silent when she hunts her targets. She prefers poisoning as her murder method, but she's always ready to spill blood. Her hunting success is thanks to the mutated venom glands she has below her teeth. It's unclear as to who her parents are or why her egg was abandoned so far from the Scarred Wasteland.

She's incredibly apathetic and lacks clear motivation in almost everything she does. She's come to idolize Matrix, however, and most of what she does can be attributed to pleasing him. She looks up to Phantom like a big sister and she's usually the one who rushes into things. Together, her and Aither make for Postmortem's most merciless duo. If it wasn't for her age and loyalty to Matrix, Ricin could uproot the entire clan. She can be friendly, just don't get too close, she bites...

_BACKSTORY_

____Ricin was found by Phantom as an unhatched egg in the forest near the Dragonhome and Tangled Wood border. Her egg markings were odd, and the egg hurt to touch. Regardless, Phantom took it with her back to Caelum and watched over it during the beginning of the Search. Shaken still by the murder of her own siblings before they hatched, Phantom feared the unborn hatchling's safety, so she kept it hidden in her den.

____When Ricin hatched, she was covered in a potent toxin but showed no signs of being harmed. The hatchling was alarmingly small and frail, and Phantom feared for her survival. She went to the only other mirror dragon in the clan, Polaris, and told him about her predicament. He had never heard of a venomous mirror dragon before and had little experience with the Plague flight, but he did his best to assist her in cleaning and caring for the new hatchling. When it became clear that she wasn't going to die, Phantom named her Ricin, a type of poisonous seed, and adopted her as a younger sister.

____Ricin grew up in the middle of the Search, and her poison ability was treated as a holy grail by the Patriarch. She received special battle treatment and worked with Matrix to perfect her combat skills. She grew fond of her mentor and killed many apprentices in mock battles in order to please him. She had never seemed bothered by the idea of killing other dragons, and she did it well. She never grew very large in size, but what she lacked in strength, she doubled in agility and stealth.

____As the Search drew to an end, Ricin became restless and angry. She wanted to fight, it was what she excelled at. But with no war to fight, she had no need to kill. Matrix noticed this and invited her to become the honorary assassin of Postmortem. She agreed with no hesitation. Often, Matrix sends her to neighboring clans to kill simply as a threat. She has started taking lessons from Rave to learn about various types of poisons and potions. Her methods of murder are cruel and ruthless, and she is feared throughout the clan.
